Property Description for 41 East 28th Street, 2-B

SPACIOUS LOFT-LIKE HOME IN NOMAD!

This 1-Bedroom 1-Bathroom loft-like home of approximately 1,100 square feet is being offered at a great price with incredibly low maintenance! This home has been well-maintained by its current owners and has been freshly painted, comes equipped with a full array of stainless steel appliances, plenty of overhead lighting and beautiful hardwood floors throughout.

41 East 28th Street is an exceptionally well-run co-op with incredibly LOW maintenance, no underlying mortgage and almost everything new: elevators, lobby, video-intercom system, triple pane windows, roof and more following an extensive one million dollar renovation. There are only three units per floor, and the building affords a high degree of privacy. There is video intercom security, bike storage, and the coop is pet friendly and permits pied-a-terres. Flexible board with subletting is permitted after one-year of residency.

Fantastic Madison Square Park / NoMad location only two short blocks to Madison Park, moments to the 6 train and two blocks from the R train. Situated in the heart of a neighborhood that has quickly evolved into one of Manhattan's most dynamic, vibrant and exciting districts. The building is moments away from the newly opened Impero Caf and Teisui, the soon-to-open SLS Hotel, the Gansevoort Park, Ace, NoMad and Edition Hotels, Dover Street Market, Eataly, Shake Shack, Marta and much more.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
