Property Description for 145 West 11th Street, PH/APT-1

Incredible opportunity to rent two apartments: a top floor penthouse as well as a spacious garden-level loft with its own private outdoor space. The best of both worlds, live in the penthouse while enjoying a separate apartment for guests, a home office, or simply an additional space with a luscious garden within the building. With views overlooking historic Village townhouses as well as the Manhattan skyline, the spectacular full-floor penthouse duplex features four beds, four and a half baths and multiple outdoor spaces. At the center of the home, the elevator opens onto a distinguished private gallery allowing for seamless access in every direction. The grand living and dining room approximately 35 feet in length with west and east facing terraces is designed for a sophisticated downtown lifestyle. The living area is open to a large eat-in kitchen with custom cabinetry and Wolf, Sub-Zero, and Miele appliances. The generous floor-through master suite features a sitting room, access to the west terrace, two spacious walk-in-closets, and a serene master bathroom with built-in tub, glass-enclosed shower, custom millwork vanity, and marble mosaic flooring. There are three additional bedrooms, all with baths en-suite. The stairs lead to the upper floor with a kitchen, powder room, and an expansive private wrap-around rooftop terrace with incredible views. With a barbeque already in place, the space is perfect for entertaining. Directly below on the garden level, the main entrance of the loft opens into a generously sized living space with 12 feet high ceilings. With some of the same luxury finishes as the penthouse, the loft, with an open living area approximately 30 feet in length, is designed for a modern downtown lifestyle. Best of all, two sets of double French doors lead to your own spacious private garden, affording the ultimate indoor/outdoor Manhattan living. Call the penthouse and apartment one home and enjoy incredible building amenities including a 24-hour attended lobby, courtyard, garden, package room, pool, health club, dining room overlooking the garden, guest chef's kitchen, residents' lounge, 22-seat screening room, golf simulator, bicycle storage, and anticipated LEED Silver Certification. Located in prime Greenwich Village, on the border of the West Village, this apartment is in close proximity to some of the citys best restaurants, shopping, parks, as well as public transportation.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
