Property Description for 333 Pearl Street, 21-A

NEW TO MARKET: RARE ALCOVE STUDIO WITH BALCONY AND PANORAMIC RIVER AND CITY VIEWS! From the moment you enter this 21st floor apartment you are dazzled by the light and expansive East River views -- facing east with four bridges in sight and land as far as the eye can see! The key to this studio's charm is the versatility of the space. This apartment can be set up many different ways because the kitchen has been ingeniously designed to be left open or easily closed behind cabinetry at any given time as the photos will show. The windowed alcove can be used however you wish -- as a sleeping area (a queen size bed is easily accommodated) or it can function equally as well as a home office or dining area. An 80 square foot balcony off the living area with breathtaking views only adds to the uniqueness of this property, and the already low maintenance includes electric and all utilities. Located in the heart of downtown, 333 Pearl Street is a 27 story high rise building and is part of a 9 building coop complex known as Southbridge Towers. Nestled amongst the famed South Street Seaport, Pace University and the Wall Street/Financial District, 333 Pearl St provides easy access to most every subway line from either Fulton Street hub or the No. 6 Brooklyn Bridge station as well as great shopping and restaurants. This is truly a property that must be seen to be fully appreciated!

Seaport District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Seaport District sits between the Financial District to the south and the Brooklyn Bridge to the north. The original Seaport designation was limited to the streets east of Water Street from Fletcher Street to Dover Street and incorporated the actual Seaport and the piers. But no more. Today, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded westward toward Park Row and include a surge of new developments in the area around Pace University and City Hall Park.

This is not your father’s Seaport. It is no longer a commercial hub and the seafood industry, which operated out of the port for nearly two hundred years, has been displaced. The older low-rise buildings that line these cobblestoned streets have been repositioned, the SouthBridge towers complex to the east of Water Street has gone free market, multiple commercial buildings have been converted to residential usage and new gleaming residential towers are rising on the site of the iconic J&R Music World which once lined the east side of Park Row.

Still, the Seaport is a small neighborhood, particularly quaint just north of Beekman Street. The streets are dominated by century-old warehouses and maritime buildings which gives the neighborhood its overt character. The Brooklyn Bridge, on its northern edge, looms in the backdrop.
