Property Description for 255 Eastern Parkway, F-1

CUSTOM-DESIGNED DREAM HOME! From the instant you enter this stunning, light-filled 3-bed, 2-bath home its evident that no detail was overlooked and no expense was spared in the pristine renovation and restoration of this prewar beauty. The owners worked tirelessly over two years with their architect to custom design a home thats light, bright, open and airy, while ensuring that every square inch is usable, practical and brilliantly modern. Their vision included using only the cleanest, non-toxic materials. The custom kitchen is a chefs dream with its high gloss cabinetry, marble counters, solid oak bar, a Franke fireclay porcelain sink, Italian tile, glass backsplash and high-end appliances, including: American Range hooded stove, a paneled Liebherr fridge and Miele dishwasher. Both of the exquisite designer baths feature Newport Brass rain showers, Italian tile and Waterworks fixtures. Light floods in from 11 windows along 2 exposures, and your top-floor location allows for brilliant southern views and sunsets. Its many other features include almost 10-ft ceilings, 8-ft solid core doors with Rejuvenation hardware, designer lighting, ingenious storage and closet space, restored plaster detail and bleached, artisan oak floors. Youre located at The Woodrow Wilson, a lovely pet-friendly Art Deco building with a doorman, a live in super and a porter. It's on lush Eastern Parkway, which was designed by Central Park's Vaux and Olmsted and landmarked as the nation's first parkway. Century old oak trees line the boulevard, which are dedicated to World War 1 soldiers. You're half a block from the Brooklyn Museum and Gardens and 3 blocks to Prospect Park. Both the 2/3, 4/5 trains are down the street, allowing for the fastest and easiest possible commute. This quality of workmanship will impress even the most discerning buyer.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
