Property Description for 465 West 23rd Street, 15-CD

This quintessential New York apartment at 465 West 23rd Street #15 CD is all about the views. It's a prewar, high floor, corner two bed, two bath home (with a home office) and has city and river views from each of its ten over-sized windows.
The modern marble and glass renovation in neutral white juxtaposes beautifully with wood floors, high beamed ceilings, stripped metal door frames, and solid wooden doors in warm oak.
Enter through the inviting marble foyer and youre immediately greeted by river views. The corner living room, facing south and west, has all-day sunlight, a separate dining area, and a custom-built TV cabinet wrapping around the living room wall.
The open chefs kitchen with generous counters and granite-topped island has a top-of-the-line appliance package including a 5-burner Bertazzoni stove and oven, Sub-Zero refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and wine refrigerator. The storage space in the kitchen is vast, including a double pull-out pantry.
The sunny, south-facing master bedroom has an enormous walk-in closet with custom built-ins, a master bath with glass tile accents and a large, glass-walled rain shower with views to the Freedom Tower and beyond. Even the home office has views, with a built-in desk and drawers. The second, generous bedroom has a double-closet and western river and city views.
London Terrace Towers, one of the citys premiere downtown cooperatives, offers much more than a full-time attended lobby, on-site management and a prime Chelsea location a block from the High Line. Not only are you in the center of the Chelsea Arts District and the best restaurants, gyms and shopping of Chelsea, you're a block from Chelsea Piers and the Hudson River Park - including the dog park.
Yes, dogs are allowed in this home!
Your RENT INCLUDES gas and electric and use of the must-see indoor swimming pool with a lofted viewing gallery, steam room and sauna as well as the common roof deck. The recently renovated health club can be used for a nominal yearly fee as well as the building parking garage. A COOP SUBLET APPLICATION IS REQUIRED. NO INTERVIEW. Expect 2-4 week turnaround from application submission for approval. Broker fee.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
