Property Description for 205 East 10th Street, 4-A

The result of 21 years of loving restoration and impeccable design sense are on display the moment you enter 205 East 10th St Apt 4A in the heart of the East Village. Completely updated and magazine-worthy, this 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom classic co-op apartment is one of only 4 units on the 4th floor and is in the coveted (and rarely available) A line. 4A boasts a beautiful marriage of restored original details, gorgeous hardwood floors, top-of-the-line renovated tiled kitchen and bath, custom lighting, and over 9 foot ceilings throughout. Enter your new home through a cozy foyer featuring coat closet as well as entrance to your ample living spaces and windowed galley kitchen. This chefs dream kitchen has abundant counter space including - on your left - a solid walnut countertop for food prep or serving with a peek-a-boo cutout opening into the living/dining room. The right side has ample storage, a marble countertop and modern cabinetry along with Walker Zanger tiles throughout plus stainless Bertazzoni convection range, Miele hood, Sub Zero refrigerator/freezer and Bosch dishwasher, with 2 Square Indirect Suspension lighting system hung from the ceiling. Enter into the serene living spaces - the living/dining room large enough for a sizable sectional sofa and seating area for entertaining or just relaxing after a long day out, plus a dining area easily set up for 4-6 diners, the room features glass wall sconces from Jonathan Adler, and ceiling fans all on dimmers in every room. Head into the back hallway for access to two large closets, your two king size bedrooms both with southern exposure and views of the tree tops through double-pane windows that keep the noise out. The Porcelanosa tiled bathroom has been completely renovated and includes a windowed bath tub/shower, large walnut framed back-lit mirrored cabinet and Grohe fixtures. 205 East 10th is located just a couple of doors down from 2nd Avenue with all of the services, restaurants, bars and shops that prime East Village has to offer. The building features common courtyard, live in super, shared laundry, available storage, bike room and intercom system. Sorry, no dogs are allowed but cats are permitted with board approval. Washer & dryers are permitted in the units. Co-purchasers, Subletting and Guarantors are allowed but pied-a-terres are not.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
