Property Description for 176 Kosciuszko Street, 3-A

SIMPLY GORGEOUS!

This stunning 2-bedroom 2-bathroom duplex condominium in Northern Bedford-Stuyvesant is SIMPLY GORGEOUS! The home was newly built in 2006, and recently underwent an additional renovation, creating the exquisite living spaces you see today.
The main floor is open, and airy as light floods through, oversized north-facing windows. The open plan kitchen, centered by an island, is great entertaining. The cook’s kitchen features white lacquer cabinetry, complemented by polished granite counter tops, and a 4-piece stainless steel Samsung appliance suite, which includes a dishwasher. A handsome, cobble stone focal wall, that seems to float above dark-wood floors, frames the roomy sitting area. Both bedrooms can be found upstairs, tucked away from the main areas of the home. Upstairs is also where you’ll find the home office and laundry staging area, complete with Samsung washer/dryer. Enjoy the summer with your friends on the building's roof deck.
Neighborhood is burgeoning with new shops, and markets. Local amenities include YMCA w/pool, Herbert Von King Park w/dog run, Kosciuszko Pool, Restoration Plaza - banking/grocery/drug store, G train at Bedford-Nostrand and Myrtle-Willoughby, and J at Kosciuszko Stations.
Additional features of this property include: Oversized windows, Stainless steel kitchen appliances, Granite kitchen counter top, Oversized Kitchen Cabinets, and Pre-wiring for cable and telephone line.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
