Property Description for 80 Chambers Street, 9-E

Application Pending. Incredibly cool and very spacious loft-like 1 bedroom home with oversized rooms, generous spatial flow, and a large private storage cage included - - offering the most elusive and coveted of apartment features in central downtown NYC...room to breathe. Located in an elegant, intimate, amenity rich full-service Tribeca pre-war Condominium.

This wide open 1085 sq ft home features a gracious entry foyer as large as many NYC bedrooms, 10.5 high ceilings throughout the entire home, beautiful beech-wood hardwood flooring, an enormous and loft-like open-concept living/dining room (with bright Northern exposure, incredible open city views, 5 over-sized windows), a high-end, windowed and fully equipped open kitchen (Miele range and D/W, Baulthaup cabinetry, SubZero refrigerator, pantry, etc.), a massive and quiet bedroom with a full wall of custom fitted closets, ample and intelligent storage throughout, and a gorgeous designer bathroom with tasteful slate, stone and tile finishes, Duravit & Grohe fixtures, and his & her sinks. With grand and comfortable proportions throughout, this elegant and cool home is a seamless blend of lofty aesthetics, comfort, and quality - and is perfectly situated in one of Tribeca's premier and solid pre-war buildings.

With its striking Art-Deco lobby, 80 Chambers offers 24 hour doorman and concierge, recently renovated and modernized common areas, 3 fitness centers (renovated, windowed, with Peloton), a full-time live-in super, private locked storage and common laundry on the floor, renovated high-speed elevator banks, a children's playroom, a conference room, and has an amazing and expansive furnished roof deck with absolutely incredible 360 degree views of all Manhattan and beyond (both rivers, several bridges, countless iconic buildings, incredible sunsets - truly one of my favorite roof decks in downtown Manhattan). All this, only steps from downtowns' best restaurants, shopping, & transportation (near the R/W, A/C/E, 1/2/3, 4/5/6, J/Z and PATH trains, Washington Market Park, Battery Park City Esplanade, Tribeca Whole Foods, Westfield World Trade, Brookfield Place, Seaport District, etc.). Pets Case by case, no smokers please, sorry. Call/email to arrange a viewing...

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
