Property Description for 155 West 11th Street, PH-12C

Penthouse 2 bed, 2.5 bath on the 12th floor with 1,777 SF of exceptional living space perched high above Greenwich Village at the coveted Greenwich Lane. The entire apartment faces West with an additional Northern exposure in the master. A rare elevation provides unobstructed sunset views over the West Village to The Hudson River spanning all the way to Hudson Yards - from every room in the apartment.

A beautifully paneled wood entry door with Nanz hardware leads into a gracious foyer with a powder room. There are split bedrooms and a home office or separate dining area that comfortably accommodates 6. Highly crafted details and luxurious finishes with exceptional millwork create a finely tailored home in the style of early modern industrial architecture. Lofty and light-filled with oversized floor to ceiling windows in every room, 10-foot ceilings, and rich oak hardwood floors throughout.

The chef's kitchen with custom-paneled cabinetry was designed by Thomas O'Brien of Aero Studios. The kitchen is equipped with Sub-Zero, Wolf, and Miele appliances and features Waterworks Aero Retro fixtures in a polished nickel finish. Finished with grey marble countertops and backsplash.

The master suite offers double exposures West / Hudson River and North / Hudson Yards. An enormous walk in closet / dressing room measuring (10.9 X 6.6) outfitted by California closets, and a luxurious master bathroom fully clad in white and grey marble on the walls, floors, and surrounding the tub. The master bathroom is appointed with a fine custom millwork vanity, mosaic detailing on the marble floor, glass-enclosed shower, and electric radiant heated floors. The well-proportioned secondary bedroom offers two oversized windows with Hudson River views, an en-suite bathroom and generous closet space.

There is a large utility room with a full sized LG washer / dryer, California closets and motorized shades (plus blackouts in both bedrooms) throughout the apartment and a four-pipe HVAC system with multi-zoned climate control for maximum year-round flexibility.

Building amenities: 24-hour concierge and doorman, 25-meter swimming pool with hot tub, health club designed by The Wright Fit, yoga studio, treatment rooms, golf simulator, 22 seat screening room, children's playroom, residents lounge, dining room (overlooking the garden) with a social kitchen plus a separate catering / staff kitchen. Beautifully landscaped Zen garden, courtyard, bike storage, cold storage package room and a garage. LEED Silver Certification.

Located in prime Greenwich Village, on the border of the West Village, this home is in close proximity to some of the city's best restaurants, shopping, parks and public transportation.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
