Property Description for 151 West 17th Street, 6-H

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS PROPERTY IF PURCHASED AS A PRIMARY RESIDENCE IS ELGIBIBLE FOR THE 17.5% COOP/CONDO PROPERTY TAX ABATEMENT IN NYC.

Unit 6H is a graciously sized 2 bedroom 2 bathroom apartment situated on the 6th floor in one of central Chelsea's best luxury condo buildings. The unit hosts oversized and floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, allowing for an even light throughout the day.

When you exit the elevator (only two apartments per landing) and enter unit 6H, you are greeted with a bright open space, with the modern kitchen on your left and dining area on your right. The kitchen is outfitted with sleek stainless steel appliances, including Bosch dishwasher, four burner stove and oven, a large side-by-side fridge, and Marvel wine cooler. The cabinetry is handcrafted by Poggenpohl. Across from the kitchen, the dining room sits next to a sunny window allowing for both casual and formal dining depending on your needs. The living area is the largest room in the apartment with enough space for multiple sitting spaces and big screen TV watching. The flow of this apartment is ideal in that the communal space is completely separate from the sleeping chambers. Additionally you will note the immaculate condition of this property, the seller is the original buyer and has maintained the apartment with meticulous care.

The master bedroom is huge, hosting a walk-in closet, as well as two full-sized closets, outfitted by California Closets to maximize the storage. The en-suite master bathroom comes with tasteful dark wood cabinetry and white marble throughout for a sophisticated contrast. The bathroom features a large soaking tub, as well as a separate glass-enclosed standing shower. The spacious second bedroom hosts large closets and ample space, big enough to fit a king bed (as well as additional furniture). There is a guest bathroom across the hall, in addition to a full-sized Bosch washer and dryer for added convenience.

Unit 6H is situated within 151 W 17th Street, a well-kept condo building, located on one of the best blocks in Chelsea. Known as the Campiello Collection this building helped define Chelsea as a luxury destination when it opened and continues to through today. It is close to everything, including eight different train lines (A, C, E, L, 1, 2, 3, F, M), high-end shopping, museums, and endless amazing eateries. The 1 train is located just across the street. The Chelsea High Line, Madison Square Park and Union Square Park are all within a short distance. There is a full amenity package for residents, including full-time doorman, fully-outfitted gym, on-site parking garage, Zen garden, community courtyard, and bike room. Pets are allowed!

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
