Property Description for 1320 Bushwick Ave

New to the market. A rare opportunity to own a wonderful, renovated 3-story, 2-family townhouse in Bushwick, complete with a private parking spot.

Set up as an owner's 3-bedroom duplex over a 2-bedroom rental unit, this modern home has everything you could ever hope for: a gracious open layout, multiple outdoor spaces, charming architectural details, low taxes and, of course, the always coveted parking space.

Upon entering the owner's parlor level, the first thing you will notice is the deep and open layout. Entertaining is an absolute pleasure with the well-appointed chef's kitchen centrally positioned between the living and dining areas. Everything is at your fingertips in the chocolate-colored cabinetry as you whip up meals on expansive granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. Large windows bring in abundant natural light, while exposed brick, wood beamed ceiling, and a decorative fireplace add distinct charm to the space. This level also features a pristine half bath and an entrance to the home's private deck and back yard where you can enjoy quiet morning coffee or dine al fresco on cool summer evenings.

On the second floor, you'll find 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms located just off of an airy landing with a skylight and washer/dryer. The king size master bedroom is strategically situated at the back of the house, offering a private haven with en suite bath and a walk-in closet.

The rental duplex perfectly complements the owner's unit, with exposed brick, a decorative fireplace, and its own washer/dryer. This 2 bedroom/1 bath apartment has a separate entrance and an enormous living space, making this a great income-producer to offset your mortgage. What's more, it can be delivered vacant or with the current tenant in place. This is a wonderful opportunity and a superb investment.

1320 Bushwick Avenue enjoys low annual taxes (under $2,500). The location is fantastic, in the heart of Bushwick with all of its exciting restaurants and art scene just minutes away, plus the J/Z is just a few blocks away and the L subway is also nearby for a convenient commute to Manhattan.

Bushwick | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

As one of the most diverse neighborhoods in New York, Bushwick offers a perfect snapshot of just how multicultural the city is. Long-established as an amalgam of cultures and ethnicities, a wave of varying types of immigrants trickled in from the seventeenth to twentieth centuries, with Bushwick largely becoming a home to Hispanics of Puerto Rican and Dominican backgrounds by the latter part of the twentieth century.

With the Bushwick Initiative of the mid-00s that aided in revitalization, it became an attractive area to young professionals and artists. And even now, Bushwick has sustained affordable rent prices where other North Brooklyn counterparts, like Williamsburg and Greenpoint, have become more expensive. Priding itself on the weird and the wacky, numerous art collectives thrive in this part of Brooklyn, once famously named the seventh coolest neighborhood in the world by Vogue.

Though it has drawn in many tourists in recent years (there’s even a graffiti tour you can take from the Bushwick Collective), the neighborhood remains very much community-oriented, and has not been subject to quite the same sort of corporate infiltration phenomenon of its nearby Williamsburg environs.

But yes, of course, Bushwick has come a very long way from its 80s and 90s reputation as being “The Well,” a nickname given to it for its free-flowing and widely available amount of drugs (quantity over quality being the cliche applied here).
