Property Description for 181 Hudson Street, 4-BC

Situated on a quaint cobblestoned block in the heart of the North Tribeca Historic District, this sprawling 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom condo loft with super low monthlies was artfully conceived by acclaimed architect Hal Goldstein of Janson Goldstein, LLP. High style and modern comforts were in mind when carefully selecting the well-appointed finishes, materials, and luxuries throughout the home. Ceilings soaring over 11 feet, 10 south facing windows overlooking quaint Vestry Street and a 37+ foot living room are only some of the grand features of this triple mint, designer home.

Upon entry, a gracious foyer with two large closets and a full bathroom leads to the sophisticated great room where even the most discerning buyer will be captivated by five oversized south facing windows and ethanol burning fireplace. Tucked away before the grand living room, find a custom walnut paneled home office/study featuring a thoughtfully concealed closet with a EuroCave wine fridge. The vented open kitchen is a chef's dream with a Carrera marble island equipped with top of the line appliances and sleek custom cabinetry allowing for seamless living and entertaining. Flanking the kitchen is the comfortable master suite lined with Molteni custom closets and shelving and a spa like bathroom. All bathrooms boast Toto toilets, Durvit sinks, Hansgrohe fixtures and floor to ceiling Ann Sachs and custom limestone tiles. The two secondary bedrooms are located opposite the master suite on the other side of the living room, creating the coveted split layout. With plenty of room to create the ideal living solution, there is also a convertible den/bonus room currently set up as a lively kid's playroom. Highlighting this spectacular home is hand oiled double layer red oak hardwood flooring, architectural recessed and track lighting controlled by Lutron dimmer switches throughout, industrial grade, independently controlled central HVAC, Somfy powered window shades (solar and blackout) on all windows and a 3 zone Sonos system. For added comforts and ease, a separate laundry room and private storage closet is just outside your front door across the common hallway.

181 Hudson is a 26 unit, eight story condominium with entrances conveniently located on both Vestry and Hudson streets.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
