Nothing was overlooked in this well designed architectural masterpiece by Erich Schoenenberger, of SU11, whose work has been displayed in MoMA, Art Basel, Carnegie Museum of Art, and who has also won the ICFF Editors Award for Best New Designer. Residence 4FR blends both modern sophistication and traditional aesthetics. As you enter you immediately notice the commanding 23' ceiling height in the living room which is sun splashed with bright north and south exposures showcasing treetop and townhouse views. Custom blinds and curtains are installed throughout. In the cooler months, enjoy one of your two wood burning fireplaces off the open gourmet kitchen designed with a 10' long Caesarstone Statuario Nuevo counter and island. The island has built-in a 24" wine cellar and is lit by Philippe Starck designed Flos pendant lights. The kitchen is a custom Lucenti design in matte white with Blum soft closing drawers and push-to-open cupboard doors, which allow for ample storage and is fitted with recessed lighting. The kitchen is also outfitted with a 30" Leibherr fridge, 24" Bosh dishwasher, 30" Smeg 5-Burner gas cooktop and matching Smeg oven, accompanied by an externally venting Miele slide out hood. Clean up with ease using your Grohe pull out faucet, Thassos glass tile backsplash and deep stainless steel sink accompanied by an insinkerator. There is also a guest bathroom which boasts a Hansgrohe wall-mounted glass shower complemented by a linear drain, Toto wall-mounted toilet with hidden tank, Nameeks sink with floating vanity and storage, recessed Robem medicine cabinet with vertical vanity lighting, and a Hansgrohe faucet.
Ascend up the custom suspended staircase and you will find an open mezzanine featuring a built-in office, custom bookshelves, panoramic northern views and a smartly integrated pull out twin bed. As you open the double glazed glass sliding door you are met with your own expansive private deck. Enjoy quintessential Manhattan vistas which include townhouse roof gardens as well as direct unobstructed views of the Empire State building and Freedom Tower. Live out your dream of grilling in an outdoor kitchen with a 32" integrated Lion 75,000 BTU gas grill, refrigerator and sink offering hot and cold water. Enjoy the choice of dining day or night under a covered pergola. There is also wall-mounted LED lighting, a hanging antique pendant dining lamp and built-in Klipsch speakers. Cool off and rinse in your very own temperature controlled outdoor shower.
Enter your gracious master suite with an impeccably maintained exposed brick wall, wood burning fireplace (with a thoughtfully added chimney extractor fan to ensure proper circulation), custom closets - all lined by LED lighting to gracefully showcase your wall of art. Enjoy the townhouse views from your northern facing windows along with a commanding skylight and a ceiling height of over 15 feet.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
