Property Description for 224 East 7th Street, 7

All you have to bring is your luggage to this beautifully designed, exceptionally furnished, oversized one bedroom apartment that offers everything you'll need in the heart of the East Village. A 6-month lease is available if you want to rent this special renovated home for a shorter term than the usual required one-year minimum, or longer term would work as well.

Situated on the 2nd floor of a walk-up building, this sun-flooded apartment with separate living and dining rooms, an open kitchen with dishwasher, lofted bedroom and windowed bath is super bright, spacious and quiet. Unobstructed southern light and views, exposed brick, plank hardwood floors, high ceilings, recessed lighting and plenty of storage space are among the lovely highlights. Impeccable furnishings and art help create an environment of ultimate comfort and luxury, with a handmade oak dining room table from France with French made Tolix seats, a B & B Italia couch, Bose sound system, state-of-the art Miele, Liebherr, Hansgrohe and Axor stainless steel appliances and fixtures in the kitchen and bathroom and flat screen TVs in the living room and bedroom.

224 East 7th Street is an intimate building with a laundry room and bike storage on a tree-lined East Village street in one of Manhattan's most sought after neighborhoods. Tomkins Square Park and East River Park are right nearby for spending time outdoors. Stop in any of the great local cafés and markets and like Paradiso, Ninth Street Espresso and Commodities Natural Market. Satisfy your cultural side in the thriving gallery scene, and work out at several area fitness centers. Enjoy an eclectic mix of eats at Edi & the Wolf, Lavagna, Kafana, Royala, Casa Adela, Oda House and Grape and Grain, and great nightlife at The Wayland, Manitoba's and other hot spots. The M9 bus, L and F trains are also minutes away.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
