Property Description for 15 East 26th Street, 15-AB

Designer showplace overlooking Madison Square Park! This spectacular 4 bedroom 5.5 bathroom turnkey loft towering above the prized park was completely gut renovated and impeccably transformed by renowned architect/interior designer Campion Platt. Featured in prominent magazines, the distinctive 5,616 +/- sf home was part of a stunning glamorization in a meticulous condo conversion, then recently top-to-bottom renovated into an ultra-luxurious custom living space by the current owners.

The floor plan was thoughtfully reconfigured to open up the flow and allow as much natural light as possible to permeate deep into the living space. Lofty 12 foot ceilings lend drama and airiness. Eight oversized southern windows facing the park invite in an abundance of sunshine all day. In the redesign, the entryway was converted to a gallery-like space that is perfect for displaying important works of art under a luminous ceiling. Other notable features include custom millwork throughout used to accent columns and define rooms, and warm American Walnut wood gracing the kitchen cabinetry, lounge shelving and built-in closets. Dark ebonized floors, chalk-white Venetian plaster walls, anodized bronze trim, Nanz custom hardware and cove lighting further enrich the ambience.

The fantastic living/dining room is divine for entertaining with a built-in floating glass bar and stunning views across Madison Park. The top-of-the-line chef's kitchen is styled with book-matched Calcutta Gold Vein slab marble countertops, Dornbracht fixtures and Wolf, Sub-Zero and Miele appliances (including an additional fridge & freezer). A sunny breakfast area accommodates casual dining. Pocket doors and custom hinging panels allow the gourmet kitchen to be closed off for private events while seamlessly connecting the rooms. A hallway adorned with suede walls and built-ins for storage sets an elegant tone as you approach the master suite, which presents a dropdown TV and huge auto-lit closets for him and her. The spa bath indulges with its own mirror TV by Seura, heated marble floors, a double glass-top vanity, all-glass slab walls, a soaking tub, shower, Japanese toilet and private urinal room. Other highlights include an office/library or 4th BR with an en-suite bath and steam room, a large media room, generous storage, separate staff entrance and prep kitchen.

You'll enjoy every amenity in this state-of-the-art smart home with a Creston system controlling security at the front door, window shades, audio/visual and 4-zone HVAC. New plumbing, central vacuum, a water filtration system and built-in humidifier heighten your standard of living.

15 Madison Square North is a full-service prewar building with a grand attended lobby, 2200 sf custom fitness center, children's playroom, maid's rooms, individual wine storage and wonderful rooftop terrace. The Flatiron location at the crossroads of Chelsea, Gramercy Park & Murray Hill is surrounded by restaurants, shopping and transportation.

NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
