Property Description for 56 Walker Street, 2-FLR

Unit - 2 at 56 Walker Street is a floor-thru 3 bedroom - 3.5 bathroom 2670 sq. ft. luxurious condo loft, representing refined Downtown TriBeCa living at its finest. Occupancy for this new development residence will be in the summer of 2015.

Quiet, subtle custom millwork panels, a Statuario marble fireplace, flooring of 7" wide hardwood oak, an artful collection of exquisite accent lighting, and recessed handrails illuminated by LEDs are just some of the accoutrements that one instantly notices upon entry into this lovely abode.

The kitchen, exemplifying beauty, technology, and functionality, incorporates a dramatic bookmatched Silverwave marble counter, linear chandelier, Dada white lacquer cabinetry -- including the patented sliding and disappearing glass doors that conceal utility spaces -- and fully equipped back panels. All appliances are Gaggenau and fixtures by Dornbracht.

The unforgettable master bath features bookmatched Silverwave walls of marble, ADM freestanding sculptural tubs, and custom vanities fronted with marble drawers. Serene spa-esque touches ensure the secondary baths are the perfect accompaniment, as they have artisan smoked mirrors, in-shower marble niches, Herringbone marble mosaic floors, and monolithic Arabescato vanities. Fixtures are by the venerable Dornbracht and Neorest commodes by acclaimed Toto.

All closets at 56 Walker are designed and manufactured by Dada, whose components are tastefully modular, ensuring that one's storage experience is utterly tailored to suit individual requirements

The epitome of urbane and sleek, Apartment 3 is polished, warm, and replete with curated detail. This stunning, sophisticated, finely-built home is of an echelon unlike any other TriBeCa residence.

56 Walker is a boutique, luxury new development designed by Jordan Carlyle and developed by Six Sigma. Amenities include 24 hour virtual doorman, part-time lobby attendant, private storage, and wine cellar.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
