The home office is a fabulous room with four walls and closet too ! This One of a Kind Townhouse has an interesting story behind these fabulous "Extra Large Windows". The FACADE + STOOP are an architects delight ! Continuing your way to the entrance landing there's an instantaneous feeling that something very special awaits you. Well...you are so right :-). Enter into a spectacular Loft-like Parlor floor. Unique perks are many but include gorgeous MAPLE floors, Central Air and Dining room Built- ins that embellish this entertaining space. The scale is picture perfect. Elegant yes, but you are quickly struck with an "urban and hip modernesque " mood something that feels right up there in style and in a class of its own ! Make no mistake this is a thrilling Cobble Hill Townhouse home and there is nothing old in character here. Lets start with a "real chefs " kitchen ! The images tell all . Besides impressive, this kitchen is fun. So many gadgets including a garbage disposal .... oh that's a nice one and an indoor grill...... ! If your a cook....there is much to be excited about here. The stainless steel appliances are big and include the usual (d/w) but its the extras and gadgets and counter-space that draw you in and are going to increase your KITCHEN time a lot. This Kitchen is made for T.V ! A Dacor oven and Indoor cooking grill right on an amazing cooking island is just a taste of what's to come. Jumping to the second floor above the parlor floor, it has 4 rooms and lots of separation between them. Two large bedrooms ,a den off the MBR and a large Home Office between these great bedrooms . This home office is unique with 2 sets of sliding glass doors in different spots that open to rear and front bedroom and hallway for ventilation and windows ! It's a lovely room and can be used as you wish, yoga studio, additional home office ,guest room or nursery with custom closet too.The beautifully designed windowed main bathroom has " a Spa like Soaking Tub " defogging mirrors .... storage and extra outlets. If you like to bathe then this spa like tub is just what may be your tipping point. This designer bathroom has lovely wall tile with color and grays that create a Zen in character look. The bathroom image understates , its a gem and will not disappoint ! A half bathroom downstairs is great size too and just as stylish. The owners decorator eye are quite visible as you walk thru this home . Unmistakable care yields a plum your friends will envy. The MBR has large built-in closets and is very comfortable and works as its own suite with the connecting den. This floor has a super cool layout that's so useful .An interior hallway for lots of separation ,privacy and usage. The Laundry room also on this floor was originally a kitchen and its so nice to have this private self contained room with even more storage . So in sum ,I ask you to imagine this gem and review the floor-plan for a late Winter move. I have not forgotten the luxurious landscaped GARDEN, it will provide lots of enjoyment and is easy to maintain with a helpful owner ; another huge perk. The current family is buying after 2 years so here's your opportunity. Oh My ....Heat and Hot Water are included too ! Pets on a case by case basis ,must be trained and friendly. Owner "may" ask for some reasonable pet deposit and the owner is thinking ,one pet. Lots to enjo

Cobble Hill | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The neighborhood now known as Cobble Hill was originally settled by Dutch farmers in the mid-1600s. Tucked along the East River, in the heart of Brooklyn, Cobble Hill is known for its welcoming, leafy streets, independent mom-and-pop shops, and 19th century brownstones.

Most of Cobble Hill lies within an historic landmark district, and building heights are restricted to 50 feet, which helps maintain its 19th century atmosphere. Building owners will often split the use of their four- or five-story buildings, occupying several of the top floors and renting out the ground floor as apartments or, conversely, occupying one or more of the lower floors and renting out the top floors. New construction and alterations to existing buildings in the historic district require approval by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission, which helps maintain the historic character of the Cobble Hill neighborhood.

Although most housing in Cobble Hill consists of traditional brownstones and brick townhouses,, you will also find churches that have been converted to condos, carriage houses that have become luxury apartments and Victorian school houses that have been converted into lofts.

Court Street and Atlantic Avenue are the main commercial streets in the neighborhood. You will find popular Middle Eastern restaurants on Atlantic Avenue. Court Street is home to casual restaurants, many with outdoor seating, relaxed cafes and hip bars.

Many young professionals and families live in the brownstones, townhouses, and single-family homes that line the leafy streets. Cobble Hill is a great place to live if you work on Wall Street, as you can walk over the Brooklyn Bridge to work.
