Property Description for 216 Lakeview Place, 2

Now - No Fee - 216 Lakeview Place is a refreshing, freestanding, old style two-family home. Apartment #2 offers more charm to its new tenants that can be currently found in North Riverdale. Enjoy the rustic sensibility of sharing meals in the formal dining room that can easily sit six or more - or transform this room as an extra bedroom. Additional comfort and space is enjoyed in the living room that is accompanied by the warmth and zeal of a wood burning fireplace. A large couch as well as extra chairs/seats can also fit in the living room for your enjoyment. The kitchen, also rustic in its aesthetic, has recessed lighting and the glass cabinets feature their own lights - also find delight in the stainless steel appliances, which include a dishwasher and a microwave complimenting the granite counter-tops. The master bedroom connects itself to the large sun room where one can enjoy the beginning of a glorious day, while facing south (great light!). The second formal bedroom will easily accommodate a queen-sized bed and other various furnishings. There are one-and-a-half windowed baths, which provide convenience and comfort. The newly installed app based doorbell provides a video to your smart phone alerting you to your visitors. An entryway type foyer or hallway can serve as a spot to remove shoes and coats. On splendid Autumn days, enjoy solitude and peace of mind on the comfortable deck or find solace in Spring while the tree out front blossoms and blooms. Throughout there are plenty of closets and the many windows provide gracious light. A washer and dryer is available in the basement. Tenants are responsible for electricity and cable. North Riverdale is often described as leafy, sleepy, and the last bastion of gracious living in NYC. Some notable and nearby points of interest include the Riverdale Stables, Van Cortlandt Park, shopping on nearby Riverdale Ave, and the dining options on Mosholu Parkway. Ease of access to Henry Hudson Parkway, Broadway, I87, city buses, Metro North, and the subways.

Riverdale | Bronx

Quick Profile

Searching for a little bit of country that can be your home base, while still being able to take advantage of everything that NYC offers? Do you want a slower pace of living, focused on family and the great outdoors? Riverdale may be your perfect choice. Only about ten miles north of Midtown, Riverdale’s bucolic paradise feels like you have left the city entirely. You would never guess that you are still within the confines of the Bronx.

Riverdale is primarily residential with a substantial number of single-family homes and corridors of high-rise apartments. There are many large parks, and they play a major role in the lives of the residents, as they are a primary source of entertainment. Clean, safe streets make Riverdale a great place to walk or cycle. There are trees everywhere, and the air is fresh and invigorating. It is a great place to raise a family, but more and more singles and young professionals are moving into Riverdale, in search of larger, less expensive apartments, and to enjoy the parks and the remarkable views of the Hudson River and Manhattan.

While the grid layout of the rest of the city makes it easy to find your way from here to there, Riverdale chose to forego that structure, choosing instead to let the verdant streets twist and wind their way around natural obstacles in designs by Frederick Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame. Some streets are divided, with traffic in one direction being at an entirely different level than traffic headed the opposite way on the same street. This quirkiness adds a certain charm to this neighborhood.
