Property Description for 181A Rogers Ave, 1

Truly one of a kind -- Brand new remodeled 2 Bed, 3 Bath duplex with Private outdoor space and a 600 sqft. Rec room in Prime Crown Heights.

Keeping up with you, this apartment has both top of the line designer taste and common sense functionality -- ideal for your busy lifestyle. Thoroughly renovated, everything is top of the line: Hardwood floors, hi-hat accent lighting, new pre-war style mouldings, solid panel doors, smart wiring for full house stereo systems, central heat & air conditioning and the large Pella Architectural windows allow light and air to waft through. The open living room flows into the kitchen, featuring Hardwood Shaker Style cabinets, marble subway tile backsplash, double door refrigerator with roll out freezer, Chef's style range, built in Bosch microwave and dishwasher -- all stainless steel. There's ample closet/storage space throughout, and both bedrooms will fit a King and his court. The Master bedroom is something special -- exposed beamed ceilings, an en suite bathroom with glass and marble shower stall plus a custom mirrored vanity, and a HUGE Pella double sliding glass door that leads out to your Private manicured garden, a great way to wake up to your day.

Downstairs is great -- 600 sqft. of open space, and a full bath, that is limited only by the imagination. Huge guest room, child's playroom, gaming room with pool table, home office or Giant Man cave -- all are possibilities.

The location itself is perfect: Crown Heights has become the go to neighborhood in Brooklyn. The Brooklyn Museum and Botanical Gardens are a short stroll. The Brooklyn Children's Museum, which draws families from all the boroughs, is 5 blocks away and an interactive must for rambunctious little ones needing to move and learn. The list of restaurants is endless, the explosion of fine dining and cafes includes Manhattanville Coffee Bar (located 4 doors down) Bar Corvo, Mayfield, Catfish, Silver Rice, Glenda's Home Cooking -- all these and more are within a 7 block radius. Those wishing to make their own meals can visit the Grand Army Plaza Green Market every Saturday. Originating in 1989, it has grown to be second only to Union Square in size: organic and locally sourced farm fresh goods are offered, artisanal baked goods are available, and there are always different programs and cooking demonstrations going on.

Transportation is ultra-convenient as well, the Franklin Ave/Botanic Garden stop has the 2, 3, 4, 5 and S shuttle so getting to either the East or West side of Manhattan is quick and easy.

Even the professional photos don't do it justice; you need to see it for yourself to believe it.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
