Property Description for 60 White Street, 4-E

Located on one of TriBeCa's most desirable blocks, this beautiful full-floor loft offers 2,000 square feet of spectacular living space with soaring ceiling heights of over 11 feet, in one of downtown's smartest and most environmentally-conscious boutique condominium buildings.

Three oversized Zola Passive House triple-pane windows provide wonderful light to the gracious living/dining area, and reclaimed oak flooring and original brick walls pay homage to the 147-year-old historic building.

The magnificent chef's kitchen features oak cabinetry and marble countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Asko and Thermador appliances, dual steam and convection Wolf ovens, Wolf induction cooktop and ample storage. A powder room, mud room, walk-in closet and laundry room separate the entertaining and private living space.

Past the library lies the pin-drop quiet master suite with a grand master bath, including a steam shower with dual shower heads, separate bath and large dressing room with generous closet space. The second bedroom has an equally luxurious en-suite bathroom.

Additional state-of-the-art features of the property include separate air control, perimeter radiant heating, electronic and video intercom systems, as well as in individually-wired security system by American Security, pre-wired Cloud9 system and Lutron home automation system.

Be a part of history at 60 White Street, a stunning landmarked 1860's cast-iron building that has been carefully restored and thoughtfully designed with reclaimed and locally sourced materials, preserving history and the environment, where residents enjoy an on-site fitness center and storage, virtual doorman and key-lock elevator, a private resident's lounge with green landscape features and a planted eco-wall in the entrance gallery.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
