Property Description for 41 Monroe Street, 1

Prettiest Clinton Hill Brownstone Block
Classic First floor One Bedroom W/Eat in Kitchen Plus Garden

41 Monroe is a beautiful garden level floor through loft-like one bedroom in a stately four story brownstone. The block is beautiful and it is well located halfway down the block between Classon Ave and Franklin Ave.

The apartment is open and includes a huge eat in kitchen which leads out to the garden, shared with the upstairs family.
The kitchen has tons of prep space, a dishwasher, and is large enough for a farmhouse table. The living room and bedroom are open and easily divided into a good sized bedroom. The previous tenants used a screen to divide the space.

The space has a lot of charm and light: it has a marble mantle decorative fireplace in the living room and there are other old world details. The light is terrific due to the two large front and rear windows. The ceiling height is just about nine feet.

Rent is $3100. Immediately available. One year lease available. Guarantors accepted. No Dogs.
Rent includes heat and high speed WiFi. Brokers fee paid by renter.

The location is fantastic and close to the trains and restaurants. Speedy Romeo is just around the corner.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
