Property Description for 527 West 27th Street, 2-D

Meticulously conceived by award-winning Brazilian architect Isay Weinfeld, this 3-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom residence comprising 1,946 interior and 126 exterior square feet highlights the hallmarks of Weinfeld's inimitable design: a sublime sense of proportion and a sensuous palette of warm, natural materials that imbue each space with Weinfeld's signature modernist elegance and quiet yet powerful grace. From the formal entry gallery, the open kitchen with breakfast bar leads to a gracious great room, punctuated by a set of sliding glass pocket doors that open to the inviting terrace, creating a truly seamless indoor/outdoor living space. In the bedroom wing, a spacious master suite offers a low window box, dual walk-in closets and a spa-like master bath with double vanity and wet room. Two additional bedrooms each offer en suite baths, with one bedroom featuring a private balcony and the second a low window box. A powder room and utility closet with washer and dryer complete this exceptional home.
Isay Weinfeld's first condominium commission in New York City, Jardim comprises 36 one- to four-bedroom residences spread across two elegantly understated towers. Jardim Norte and Jardim Sul surrounding lush, tranquil, multilevel courtyard gardens open to the sun and sky, designed in collaboration with Future Green Studio. Uniquely situated on a full West Chelsea block spanning from West 27th to West 28th streets, just west of Manhattan's fabled High Line Park, Jardim is accessed by a dramatic brick-vaulted private driveway that discretely leads to the welcoming lobby, set against the backdrop of the building's namesake greenery beyond. A stunning suite of amenities includes a 60' sky-lit lap pool, large fitness studio with separate movement studio, men's and women's changing rooms each with separate steam and sauna, massage room, children's playroom with prep kitchen, private storage and bicycle storage, as well as private parking available for purchase. Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
