Property Description for 5700 Arlington Ave, 18-T

Apartment 18T at 5700 Arlington Avenue, the apartment that will make you say WOW upon entering it, is NOW OFFERING A FINANCIAL CONCESSION AT CLOSING, the value of six (6) months of maintenance. Everything else that makes 18T the most magnificent choice are undeniable. The views of the majestic Hudson River, the Palisades, the GW Bridge and the NYC skyline are truly breathtaking. All of that and 37 ft of loft-like space from the entry to the windows with that view. The finishes throughout the apartment are beautiful, from the gleaming wood floors to the windowed kitchen featuring Bosch stainless steel appliances and beautiful solid wood cabinets, to the abundant number of closets. The bedroom is large and can accommodate a king size bedroom suite of furniture and the bathroom has a large gleaming porcelain sink with vanity, is nicely tiled and is in excellent condition. 18T has a surprise feature rarely if ever found...the bedroom wall adjacent to the apartment next door has been extensively fortified with sound abatement materials that has turned the bedroom into a uniquely quiet and serene oasis. Besides all of this, when you live at Skyview, you live in a community within a community. The buildings and all 23 acres are extremely well maintained. The amenities are resort-like, from the seasonal Olympic sized pool, basketball and tennis courts, a gym, community room, playground and dog run, all available to you at no additional cost. There is also a Farmers' Market from the summer months through November, with a few favorite merchants setting up in the Sky Cafe through the winter. That's right, there is a cafe too! Skyview offers 24 hour security, concierge service, and each building has an enormous laundry room. Various options for parking are available for guests and shareholders. There is a waitlist for assigned parking spaces, so it's handy that there is no alternate side of the street parking throughout North Riverdale. Close to the YMHA, the Riverdale branch of the library, Riverdale Neighborhood House, Wave Hill, Van Cortlandt Park, that has a golf course and horseback riding, the Bx 7 and 10 buses, express buses to the east and west sides of Manhattan, and the Rail Link shuttle to and from the Metro North Riverdale Station, stores, and restaurants. All this and 6 months maintenance being given back at closing? Let's just say, you've got to see it to believe it, so call me for a showing!

Riverdale | Bronx

Quick Profile

Searching for a little bit of country that can be your home base, while still being able to take advantage of everything that NYC offers? Do you want a slower pace of living, focused on family and the great outdoors? Riverdale may be your perfect choice. Only about ten miles north of Midtown, Riverdale’s bucolic paradise feels like you have left the city entirely. You would never guess that you are still within the confines of the Bronx.

Riverdale is primarily residential with a substantial number of single-family homes and corridors of high-rise apartments. There are many large parks, and they play a major role in the lives of the residents, as they are a primary source of entertainment. Clean, safe streets make Riverdale a great place to walk or cycle. There are trees everywhere, and the air is fresh and invigorating. It is a great place to raise a family, but more and more singles and young professionals are moving into Riverdale, in search of larger, less expensive apartments, and to enjoy the parks and the remarkable views of the Hudson River and Manhattan.

While the grid layout of the rest of the city makes it easy to find your way from here to there, Riverdale chose to forego that structure, choosing instead to let the verdant streets twist and wind their way around natural obstacles in designs by Frederick Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame. Some streets are divided, with traffic in one direction being at an entirely different level than traffic headed the opposite way on the same street. This quirkiness adds a certain charm to this neighborhood.
