Property Description for 790 Saint Johns Place, 2-A

Run, dont walk, to this newly renovated resale in a pre-war 8-unit condo building in the best location in exciting Crown Heights. Enjoy a uniquely crafted large light-filled space with high ceilings, two spacious bedrooms, two full baths, an oversized windowed kitchen, central heating and cooling, formal dining and living, and more storage than you could ever imagine. Even your own washer and dryer and a blue tooth connected speaker system that allows you to connect your music right from your phone to speakers in the living room.A rare find, the owner just renovated and now has to move, so the new purchaser gets to be the first person to enjoy a fully renovated home without any of the headaches. Just one flight up, enter the bright kitchen with windows on three sides and experience what its like to prepare meals in a kitchen with fantastic work space including white Quartz countertops, a stunning black herringbone backsplash, white Shaker cabinets, Bertazzoni fridge, and a custom built-in bar and wine storage area, including Frigidaire wine fridge, perfect for entertaining. Enjoy an eating counter, or bring in your dining table. Custom lighting has already been installed throughout and incudes marble pendant lighting, chandeliers and wall scones throughout. Two full bathrooms have also been masterfully transformed. The guest bathroom is a nod to the classic black and white bathroom but in a modern style. Gray herringbone walls and stacked white subway tiled floors and accent wall makes the perfect backdrop for a burnished gray wood floating vanity and oil rubbed bronze fixtures. The master bedroom is testament to the style that only a renovated pre-war building can offer. Three bay windows across and light filled with a view over the tree-lined street, and a master bath that will leave you wanting for nothing. White marble walls with penny tile accents, double sinks in a floating vanity, and a dramatic oversized tub and shower as the centerpiece make this a rare offering. In addition to these exceptionally curated finishes you will also enjoy a brand new split heating and cooling system, stunning oak floors, oversized windows, and your very own washer and dryer. This extra-deep building also offers a huge locked storage room for every apartment (approx. 50 SF and 8 high), plus additional bike storage in the main area. There is literally nothing for you to do but unpack and enjoy wonderfully low monthlies and a neighborhood with endless things to do. Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
