Property Description for 3 Verona Place

A gut-renovated FOUR story 2-family townhouse featuring an Owner’s Triplex, 3 Verona Place is nestled on one of the most exclusive blocks, within the Bedford Historic District in Bedford-Stuyvesant, and is the quintessence of contemporary Brooklyn luxury. Features of this 3,300 sq. ft. brownstone include all new custom restoration, with a modern touch. They include gorgeous 7” white oak floors, Pella custom wood windows, front and backyards, a finished cellar for the owner to access via an interior staircase. The layout consists of a sublime owner’s triplex, and an income-producing rental unit.

The owner’s triplex has 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, 2 half bathrooms, a washer/dryer, and occupies the upper three levels of the house. On the parlor floor, the open living and dining space has a lovely wood-burning fireplace and flows into a large windowed kitchen equipped with custom cabinetry, sleek countertops, and a suite of high end stainless steel appliances from Wolf and Miele. The kitchen leads out onto a private deck that overlooks the backyard. All 4 bedrooms sit on the second and third floors of the home. The master bedroom has a pair of reach-in closets and a large Carrara marble en-suite with a walk-in shower. The second bedroom has a private en-suite with a deep soaking tub, and the third and fourth bedrooms each have private closet space and share the floor with a kids playroom/office as well as a pristine full bathroom with a skylight and a walk-in shower. The triplex has access to a finished cellar with an immaculate powder room.

The garden level rental unit has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a separate entrance, an open-concept layout, and access to the backyard. The kitchen boasts brand new countertops, cabinetry, and stainless steel appliances. Each bedroom has private closet space and easy access to the bathroom.

3 Verona Place sits on a landmarked, tree-lined street in Bedford-Stuyvesant. It is just steps from restaurants, bars, cafes, grocery stores, and shops, and is close to several playgrounds and community gardens. Also nearby are Brooklyn Children’s Museum and Bedford-Stuyvesant Museum of African Art. Public transportation options include the Nostrand Ave A/C subway lines as well as the LIRR.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
