Property Description for 250 West Street, 9-A

IN CONTRACT. Every detail of this 4100 SF loft condo is done to perfection. With sweeping western views of the Hudson River and the unobstructed NYC skyline to the north, seven oversized windows that wrap the northwest corner of 250 West Street frame an airy and sun drenched open plan living-dining room; the centerpiece of an overall apartment layout meticulously designed for both family living and entertaining in grand style.

A flexible kitchen concept features two large handmade metal and glass barn doors that can either be open to the living-dining room or closed off, providing the privacy of a true eat-in kitchen. With fantastic views and stunningly outfitted white Poggenpohl cabinetry, white quartz countertops and the best appliances including 2 Bosch ovens and high capacity range, a Miele steam oven and Subzero integrated fridge with double freezer drawers, the kitchen is its own reward.

The loft features a split bedroom layout: the master offering direct views of the Hudson River and bespoke custom walnut and white lacquer built-ins with both his and hers closets and a walk-in dressing room. The master bathroom is ensuite with luxurious hand-laid marble, double sink vanity and separate soaking tub and rain shower. There are two large bedrooms to the rear of the apartment with their own baths. Both bedrooms share an additional living space, currently configured as a playroom, with the flexibility to also serve as a media room or den. A fourth bedroom offers complete privacy with an ensuite bath. Finally, the Library provides an elegant hideaway, richly finished in red lacquer and custom walnut paneling and built-ins.

A secondary back entrance, mudroom and spacious laundry room add to the apartment's overall functionality. Additionally, there are two fantastic storage rooms located down the common hallway of the building. One is outfitted as a home office, wired with Verizon Fios and the other has been built out to serve as a massive storage locker. The apartment features North, West and East exposures with protected corner views of the Hudson River, a sophisticated A/V system, 3- zone central Heat and AC, and countless fully outfitted closets throughout the apartment.

250 West Street is a highly coveted full service Condominium that was built in 1906 and converted to luxury condos in 2013. It offers a comprehensive amenity package: a 24 Hour doorman, Concierge, Resident Manager, a spacious fitness center and pool, children's playroom, library and lounge and a 5000 SF roof deck with fabulous views.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
