Property Description for 916 Pacific Street, 101

Enjoy the nearby Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park, or simply walk out your back doors to a personal botanical garden! 4 sets of floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors on 2 levels of this home open onto your private balcony and patio, which lead up to your own landscaped rose garden with ripe blueberry bushes and grape vines.

Unit #101 at 916 Pacific Street comprises two full levels of this 4 unit condominium and boasts over 1,200 SF of private outdoor space. This fantastic convertible 2 bedroom home offers 1,676 SF of interior space to grow in to, or a wise investment opportunity with room for added value. The 11' ceilings on the upper level provide a lofty feel throughout and contribute to the welcoming layout of the open concept kitchen, dining and living areas that open onto the 24' wide upper balcony through 2 sets of sliding glass doors.

You'll never be wanting for sunlight, as the floor to ceiling windows with southern exposure let the sun shine through all year round. With stainless steel Bosch appliances, gas range, double door pantry and counter seating for 4 you couldn't ask for a better equipped kitchen!

The bedroom offers 300 cubic feet of custom built cabinetry for clothing and storage, and is spacious enough for 2 king sized beds! As you make your way downstairs, you'll enjoy 60 feet of cleverly designed shelving along the stairs to highlight your favorite artwork, books and more. The lower level of the home includes a stacked washer/dryer, half bathroom and over 775 SF of living space. A separate entry to the home via elevator access on the lower level makes bike storage and unloading the Costco trip a real breeze. Another double set of sliding glass doors opens onto the backyard patio bringing natural light into both levels of the home year-round.

And finally, the private outdoor space is without comparison as the 24 foot wide balcony leads down a set of stairs to the lower patio, terraced gardens and climbing wall! A custom designed drainage system and 600 SF of manicured gardens provides limitless opportunities for your green thumb.

The development boasts MANY amenities: a kids playroom, spacious gym with natural light, 50 foot indoor pool, sauna, party space/lounge with billiard and ping pong tables and bar, screening room, business center, and common roof deck with great Manhattan views. These amenities are all included with the low monthly charges: $650 condo + $195 amenities. Best of all, the 421(a) tax abatement keeps the monthly costs low (221 RE taxes), and expires in 2034.

Fantastic location where Prospect Heights and Crown Heights intersect, and tucked between the Vanderbilt, Washington and Franklin avenues' thriving bar and restaurant scene. Vanderbilt is foodie heaven, with the award-winning Olmstead, Alta Calidad, and Chuko Ramen. Washington has super-popular Ogliastro, Look Thai and Sunshine Co. Prospect Park, The BK Museum of Art, and the BK Botanic Gardens are nearby. Convenient to the C/S/B/Q/2/3 trains.

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
