Property Description for 2750 Johnson Ave, 2-J

A commuter's idyll in Riverdale, 2J is so close to the 1 train, Metro North and the bus to the A train, you won't believe it! In addition, it has been beautifully gut renovated, including the kitchen, 2 full bathrooms and the floors. Stainless steel appliances, the state-of-the-art Samsung Hub Refrigerator, a farmhouse sink, quartz countertops, designer tiles and a breakfast bar make the windowed kitchen a dream environment to be in, whether you're cooking for yourselves or a crowd. The terrace off of the living room extends your living/entertaining area to include the outside, a nice addition, and the plank wood floors are a beautiful shade of espresso. The biggest surprise are the 10 ft. high ceilings! The extra height adds so much to this already bright apartment. It's brighter. The additional height also makes each of the 9, (NINE!) closets that much bigger. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom and 2 closets, one of which is a walk-in, and can accommodate a king size bedroom set. The other 2 bedrooms are well sized. The bathrooms have been outfitted with top of the line porcelain fixtures, lighting, and a gorgeous combination of marble and ceramic tiles. Each one has well designed storage that is both unobtrusive and spacious. 2750 Johnson Avenue allows 90% financing and is pet friendly. Riverdale is home to the very beloved and beautiful Wave Hill and Van Cortlandt Park. 2J is close to the Kingsbridge branch of the NYPL as well as the bustling shopping corridor along Broadway, where you'll find BJ's, Staples and every local's favorite, Garden Gourmet. Don't want to cook? Enjoy a classic NYC diner meal at the Tibbett Avenue Diner, then come on over to see 2J, it's that close! Give me a call for a showing.

Quick Profile

Searching for a little bit of country that can be your home base, while still being able to take advantage of everything that NYC offers? Do you want a slower pace of living, focused on family and the great outdoors? Riverdale may be your perfect choice. Only about ten miles north of Midtown, Riverdale’s bucolic paradise feels like you have left the city entirely. You would never guess that you are still within the confines of the Bronx.

Riverdale is primarily residential with a substantial number of single-family homes and corridors of high-rise apartments. There are many large parks, and they play a major role in the lives of the residents, as they are a primary source of entertainment. Clean, safe streets make Riverdale a great place to walk or cycle. There are trees everywhere, and the air is fresh and invigorating. It is a great place to raise a family, but more and more singles and young professionals are moving into Riverdale, in search of larger, less expensive apartments, and to enjoy the parks and the remarkable views of the Hudson River and Manhattan.

While the grid layout of the rest of the city makes it easy to find your way from here to there, Riverdale chose to forego that structure, choosing instead to let the verdant streets twist and wind their way around natural obstacles in designs by Frederick Law Olmsted, of Central Park fame. Some streets are divided, with traffic in one direction being at an entirely different level than traffic headed the opposite way on the same street. This quirkiness adds a certain charm to this neighborhood.
