Property Description for 250 West Street, 4-C

RIVERFRONT 2 BEDROOM WITH ADDITIONAL HUGE NURSERY!!

The right home is one of the hardest things to find. When you find the PERFECT property in the BEST location, you know you have something that will stand the test of time! Welcome to 4C at 250 West Street – a meticulously redesigned home located on the "Tribeca Riviera" waterfront in prime Northwest Tribeca.

With over 50 feet of pure Hudson River frontage, this property guarantees that you are bathed in the most sought after commodities in this busy city – NATURE and PRIVACY. From the serene sunrises to the fire red sunsets and moonlit evenings over river waters, this home is a calming oasis in busy New York City.

Perched on the 4th floor, apartment 4C is at the perfect height for optimal views – high enough to clear the tree line yet low enough to fill every arched window with shimmering water views. The meticulous redesign of this 2 bedroom with separate nursery, unlocked close to 2400 of highly usable sf, making this functional layout completely one-of-a-kind luxury at its finest. No stone was left unturned in the redesign – from top of the line fixtures and fittings to chagrin wall coverings, custom millwork, spa showers, lacquer finish walls, custom mirror TV's, a chef's kitchen overflowing with built in appliances and endless storage – the list goes on and on.

The spacious bedrooms connect with the living room through custom hand-made solid wood doors that bring an elegant cohesion to the home while maximizing views of the river. The bio-ethanol fireplace, with (optional) dual openings, connects the living room to the second bedroom and further enhances the flow. Interiors designed by Ralph Lauren, woodwork by NY-based Arch Mills and brilliantly organized storage by professional celebrity organizing team "The Home Edit."

Every inch of the modern chef's kitchen has been thoughtfully reimagined to show off both form and function. The kitchen island and farmers sink are honed by hand from a single solid slab of Vermont soapstone, an extra large Subzero refrigerator/freezer combo is accompanied by additional refrigerator/freezer drawers on the island. The generous appliance package also includes a Wolf range with matching full-sized oven, convection oven, warming drawer and built in microwave. The ever-essential dual cooling wine refrigerator completes the repertoire. Every drawer is filled with artfully arranged essentials, including a custom built tea tray, spice drawer, pull out knife block and even a hands-free waste bin drawer. Not to mention a built-in custom mirror TV to entertain you while you cook! This thoughtful and generous design sets a new standard for luxurious and functional kitchen living.

The master suite, adorned with silk wallpaper by Phillip Jeffries, includes his and her "Sex and the City" inspired closets complete with pull-out shoe drawers, felt lined custom lockable jewelry drawers, accessory organization, and showcase cabinetry. The master bath is lined with automatically heated ultra-luxe Walker Zanger tiles and includes an aromatherapy steam shower with dual rain/traditional shower heads, custom slab trough sink, smart medicine cabinet storage, and a professional make-up vanity. The entire suite is protected by sound-proofing in the walls, further maximizing the privacy and serenity offered by this gorgeous river front home.

The second bedroom was enlarged in the redesign to include a separate office area and ensuite bathroom, laced with woodwork paneling on the bathtub, and custom built-ins. The oversized guest room is outfitted currently as a nursery with built-in shelving, lighting, a smartly engineered Murphy Bed, and a generous wall of closets. The third full bathroom reveals wallpaper custom designed by Black Crow Studios, offering a nod to Tribeca's artist roots. In the back are pocket doors that open to a separate utility area which includes a laundry room adjacent to a generously-sized walk in chef's pantry. As if that wasn't enough, the home is fully wired with Control 4 to maximize convenience inside as well as remotely and Sonos with custom zones to cater to your ambience needs in every room.

Located in the heart of Tribeca's Historic District, 250 West Street was converted to luxury condominium homes in 2012. Today's residents enjoy top-tier service and amenities, including full-time doorman and concierge, a 61-foot lap pool, state-of-the-art fitness center, children's playroom, and a glorious 5,000-square-foot rooftop terrace with panoramic views, a sundeck, lounge and dining area. Residents are steps away from bike and running paths, playgrounds, a skatepark, beach volleyball and basketball courts, miniature golf, and a dog run in Hudson River Park. Tribeca's revered restaurant and nightlife scene is nearby as is access to the 1, A/C/E, N/Q/R/W, J/Z and 6 trains.

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
