Property Description for 381 Jefferson Ave

The Modern Townhouse **If open house is posted, it is important to call to schedule an appointment during that time frame.** Open house by appointment only. Built from the ground up for today, 381 Jefferson Avenue fuses the most essential elements of the classic Brooklyn Brownstone, with new architectural insights to create a smart, desirable dwelling. This 2-family, 4,187 ft², 5-bed, 6-bath townhouse stands out from its competition with its 50 feet depth, smart home capabilities, grand rooms with high ceilings, and four separate outdoor spaces. It is truly an inspiration. Every level of this home makes a statement. The parlor level is a floor-through grand room with an open floorplan perfect for sprawling and entertaining. The chef’s kitchen is open and airy with immaculate waterfall stone counters, elegant cabinetry, and amazing appliances. As you enter the sleeping quarters, you'll be pleased to find the bedrooms double as city sanctuaries and each room spans the width of the building. The master bedroom is a true master suite with a spacious bedroom, walk-in closet, ensuite bath, balcony, and lounge. The fourth floor has two additional beds and baths, a balcony, and easy access to the landscaped roof deck. The 1-bed, 2-bath duplex rental unit with a patio mirrors the quality, comfort, and design of the master unit and easily commands competitive rents. This home checks all the boxes. Bedford Stuyvesant is home to some of Brooklyn's most sought-after restaurants, shops, and desired-architectural blocks. 381 Jefferson Avenue is centrally located and around the corner from Tompkins Avenue--where you'll find some of the most dynamic shops and restaurants. Reliable train lines [A, C, L.I.R.R.], multiple bus lines, and thriving business districts are also nearby. This is where people want to live and invest. Find Your Sweet Spot. The taxes are in the process if being adjusted by the city to be comparative to its neighbors. As a result, the owner is paying the taxes at closing as an incentive for the first year.

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
