Property Description for 97 Quincy Street, 4

Throwing away money on rent? You can own this condo in Clinton Hill for $211,000 (including both down payment and closing costs) and $1,900 per month (includes common charges and taxes).

The 97 Quincy Condominium in prime Clinton Hill features a bespoke collection of six obsessively designed one (1) and two (2) bedroom homes perfectly located between Franklin and Classon Avenues just steps from the Franklin Avenue C Train.

Residence No. 4 is the stunning PENTHOUSE, a sun-flooded two (2) bedroom with an intuitive floorplan and fresh design. The center piece of this home is its exceptional front and rear roof terraces (almost unseen in new condos) it features lofty nine foot ceiling heights that breath volume into this beautiful light filled space. Framed by floor to ceiling windows leading out to an amazing terrace (dreaming of summer), this twenty foot gallery affords intuitive spaces for your living and dining and even home office.

From the moment you enter you notice the quality, texture and design built into this home. The floors are muted oak wood, five inches wide. Matte finished they contrast the glassy oversized custom windows. (Each window frame is solid wood double hung for a true thermal break and metal clad exterior to last for decades. They are extremely energy efficient.) Also efficient is the lighting featuring state of the art recessed LEDs (optionally dimmable). Each unit features private full sized vented laundry.

The master bedroom is private, feather quiet, and framed by an oversized window and glass doored entry onto your second of two private roof terraces. The second bedroom has endless possibilities from guest bedroom, to magnificent office, dressing room or any combination you can imagine. Storage is key to any home so this unit features two closets plus private keyed storage unit in the basement. The model unit shows off an optional custom Elfa closet in the bedroom with art deco wall paper, solid wood accents, double hanging rods, eight shelves and three drawers.

The kitchen is a breath of fresh air. Literally. It features a zero pollution Bertazonni range with induction technology. Consumer Reports calls induction ranges not only best and most even cooking, it is the cleanest. It also features contemporary European cabinetry, low profile appliances for a clean, minimalist aesthetic and silestone counters. The bathroom exudes warmth and subtle design. Muted tone ceramic tile provides a calm background to clean glossy whites and matte black accents. The bathroom also features a wall mounted commode with fully enclosed tank and wall mount flush system (the most hygienic and easy to maintain), a six foot soaking tub with storage niches, spa controls, secondary hand spray and glass partition, and a gracious 30 inch wide vanity with superb storage.

Clinton Hill is the natural home to Brooklyn's eclectic cool vibe: from Black Swan to the Into Tea Lounge, from The Outpost, to Speedy Romeo. For swim lovers, the Bedford Stuyvesant YMCA indoor lap pool is just two blocks away. Easy access to the Franklin Ave C train and Classon Ave G train are steps away. You will love owning your home.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
