Perfectly situated on a quiet, internal facing courtyard garden with no street noise, this stunning 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathroom apartment is replete with a large, separate home office. With a classic entry foyer, pre-war molding details, and mahogany stained hardwood floors throughout, this space is not only charming, but elegant. Set on the third floor, you have the option of using the building’s two elevators or two sets of stairs to access your new home. Designed and renovated with extensive upgrades by a MoMa-commissioned Architect, the space hosts new plumbing and electrical work, LED ceiling lighting designed to showcase art, and new slim radiators. Beyond the entry foyer is a spacious and inviting living room with classic high ceilings and direct sunlight. Off the living room is a renovated chef’s kitchen with custom glass cabinets, Boos butcherblock countertops, a Sub-Zero refrigerator, Miele 4 burner range stove, a Bosch oven and dishwasher, and a breakfast bar to enjoy your meals at home. Although not currently installed, owners are permitted to add a washer/dryer to the unit. The full windowed bath has slate stone and pure white marble lining the floors and walls, a refinished and reglazed original bathtub, a towel warming rack, and custom Corian sink. The modern half bath offers blue penny tiles and Dornbracht faucets. The west-facing bedroom is exceptionally quiet and generously sized. Running along the southern perimeter of the bedroom is a wall of extra deep, custom designed closets used to maximize space. The enormous home office can easily fit two desks and allows you to create the best work from home layout. Located in prime Greenwich Village, 41 Fifth Avenue is one of renowned architect Rosario Candela's finest achievements. This mostly owner-occupied small boutique building offers a laundry room, and a beautifully landscaped roof terrace, which grants optimal privacy. A full service co-op, 41 Fifth Avenue has a part time doorman (4pm to Midnight), a full-time elevator operator, live-in superintendent, bin storage, bike storage, laundry room, and porters. Located at the crossroads of 11th Street and 5th Avenue, close to the N/R/W, 1/2/3, 4/5/6 & B/D/F/M. Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
