Property Description for 111 Fourth Ave, 8-K

As you enter this incredibly bright loft, you are immediately struck by the sun pouring through huge 10' industrial steel original casement windows. The light and set back city views are flawless, and magical at night. The unit is completely renovated and is offered as a turn key dwelling. As you step inside this amazing loft, the views are apparent prior to you entering the bright, white living area with 13' ceilings. The apartment features a spacious sleeping loft enclosed in glass. Picture yourself dreaming while you see the Empire State Building changing colors from your bed! The loft rests above the updated kitchen with Corian customized white countertops, breakfast bar, Miele appliances (including a stainless-steel dishwasher), a striking Smeg retro fridge, and ample custom storage. The tremendous (and luxurious) recently renovated marble bathroom features a double cast-iron vanity, a bath stall with Porcelanosa tempered glass doors and hardware and a double-wide closet. With its perfect location at the nexus of bustling Union Square, East, West and Greenwich Village, 111 Fourth Avenue is a full-service building with amenities including a full-time doorman, resident super, laundry on every floor, storage, bike room, garage, and two amazing planted and furnished roof decks offering sweeping views of the whole city. Originally built in 1920 for The International Tailoring Company, 111 Fourth Avenue continues to echo its industrial past and is perfectly situated blocks from nearly every subway in the city, two blocks from the bi-weekly Farmer's Market at Union Square, and steps from some of the city's best restaurants including Momofuku Ssam and Noodle Bars, ABC Kitchen, Gramercy Tavern, Nix, and Gotham Bar and Grill to name a few. The extraordinarily low monthly maintenance includes A/C and heat. Come make this soaring wall of windows your new home! Please note that the building does not permit dogs, pied-a-terre, parents buying for children and guarantors.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
