Property Description for 651 Vanderbilt Street, 7-E

This stunning, mint condition, two bedroom co-op is perched on the top floor of the Park Vanderbilt, a coveted 100% owner occupied building located in the heart of Windsor Terrace. Possessing fabulous sun and skyline views - you can see the Verrazano Bridge on a clear day. And the size is fabulous.

You'll enter to find a large foyer area that brings you to the living/dining room. The living/dining room has an open layout and provides a great space for living and entertaining. The dining area easily accommodates a large dining room table, and the living room is spacious for graceful entertainment or simply relaxation.

The kitchen has been meticulously and tastefully renovated with plentiful cherry cabinets, a beautiful designer backsplash and steel stainless appliances, including a microwave and a dishwasher. There are two levels of caesarstone countertops, with one open to the dining area providing a lovely and convenient breakfast nook, and serving as a pass-through to the dining room.

The master bedroom is a lovely retreat - it's massive in size and has gorgeous built-ins. It's ample enough to have a sitting area as well as room for a home office. The large double-closet here easily holds all your belongings.

The second bedroom is also spacious in size and can easily accommodate two twin beds, or a queen.

The pretty renovated bath is classic Brooklyn, with white subway tile, and classic black and white tiled flooring with a white pedestal sink.

Closet space abounds here. There is an extra large walk-in closet as you enter the apartment (next to the foyer), plus a wall of closets lining the hallway to the bedrooms.

This well-maintained elevator building is excellent, with strong financials, a common garden, with gardening bins, live-in super, two porters, a package room for deliveries, composting bins in the backyard and two laundry rooms on the lobby level. Plus there is bike storage and a parking garage (waitlist). It is also pet friendly - yes, this means dogs too (one dog per apt).

Near all - but best of all - it's just steps to Prospect Park! You'll have the playground and the lake at your doorstep, the F/G are around the corner, and here, you can experience the best that Brooklyn has to offer - with amenities from Prospect Park Southwest, Prospect Park West and Prospect Ave all nearby. Some examples include: Krupa Grocery, Della's, Le Petit Bistro, Adirondack Tavern, Le Paddock, Nitehawk Theater, Cena, Double Windsor, Giovanni's Brooklyn Eats and much more. This is also in close proximity to Park Slope too! This apartment won't last. Come take a look and fall in love.

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
