Property Description for 99 Malcolm X Blvd

Right next to the Bed-Stuy Community Garden lies this gem of a home at 99 Malcom X Boulevard. Renovated and restored from top to bottom this solid and stately brick townhouse impresses from the moment you see the slate grey brick facade. Enter up the stairs to your covered porch and through double doors into the owner's upper duplex. The parlor floor is open and bright with an abundance of space for living and entertaining. The living room leads to a gorgeously designed kitchen that combines white cabinetry and walnut shelving and accents along with top of the line appliances. There is the perfect dining nook just off of the kitchen- so no need to lose any living space for a dining table! And just outside your dining nook lies a beautiful deck and garden so you can enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family and dine al fresco. Up the stairs you will find 3 spacious and windowed bedrooms that offer light all day long along with abundant closet space. The two full bathrooms are striking and elegant with white subway tiles and black accents - one featuring a deep soaking tub and the other a beautiful glassed in shower stall. And what could be better than to move in and already have an income stream in place in the lower level 2 bedroom, one bath rental? With an application already accepted at $2400 a month there will be no need to try and rent out during the challenging holiday months. 99 Malcolm X Blvd has all new everything and even central AC and heat. With proximity to several subway lines and all of the restaurants, bars and shops that make Stuyvesant Heights so desirable don't hesitate to make this your home for the holidays.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
