Property Description for 153 East 32nd Street, 2-L

TOTALLY UNIQUE DUPLEX STUNNER!

If you yearn for something different not another "cookie-cutter box" your wish is fulfilled. This is truly one-of-a-kind living in a 24 Hour Doorman building nestled between wonderful Gramercy, Kips Bay and Murray Hill!
Converted from a commercial building, today it's made up of multi-level duplex and triplex Loft apartments. It boasts a unique lobby with 50 foot high vaulted ceilings that won an award recognized by Architectural Digest.

This HUGE DUPLEX LOFT is TOTALLY COOL! High ceilings are complemented by wood floors and MAGNIFICENT CATHEDRAL STYLE WINDOWS offer the space nice views and wonderful natural light.
Closets and storage space throughout the apartment are excellent.
In addition to the regular closets, here's a MASSIVE WALK IN CLOSET that is so big it can be a home office (Harry Potter would've called this closet a HOUSE!)

The separate, fully equipped PASS-THRU kitchen has a dishwasher, double-sided generous counter space and cabinets and microwave space. The generously sized white on white ceramic bathroom has a Storage Vanity as well .
From the Large Living Room a built in staircase leads to a second level where there's a SLEEPING ALCOVE LOFT that can easily fit a QUEEN-SIZED bed and furniture or you can use it for storage.

NEIGHBORHOOD: If you don't know the area you should! Here you'll find every convenience for shopping, dining and nightlife ALL WITHIN A 5-BLOCK RADIUS (as well as one of the only movie theaters offering reserved reclining leather seats!) The 6 train is also just a few blocks away and TRADERS JOE'S is across the street! Shown exclusively at Open House or By App't. Only (1) available. If this sounds like it could be your "IT" DON'T MISS IT!

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
