Property Description for 5 Franklin Place, 12-B

Welcome home to a pristine one bedroom in 5 Franklin Place, one of TriBeCa's premiere new developments. This immaculate and spacious home greets guests with five inch, dark-stained oak plank hardwood floors that carry through to the entry foyer, which boats a coat closet, a tucked away vented washer/dryer, and continues past a large bathroom with imported, hand-laid marble and gleaming fixtures. Directly across from the foyer is the open chefs kitchen, with immaculate white Poggenpohl cabinetry and marble countertops. The kitchen features an integrated Subzero refrigerator, and a stove, range, and dishwasher by Bosch. A wine fridge, deep sink, and additional storage complete the marble island as the centerpiece of the room. With space for barstools and dining, the island naturally delivers guests into the homes living room, which is over thirty-one feet deep, and thirteen feet wide. Large picture windows flood the apartment with light, and connect the living room to the large and bright bedroom, which features two closets: one standard, and one walk in. Centrally-located, yet discreet and quiet, 5 Franklin Place offers a full time doorman and concierge, a landscaped roof deck and pool, a brand new, state of the art gym, bicycle storage, and childrens playroom. Just a short distance from acclaimed restaurants and nightlife like Brandy Library, Walkers, Batard, Petrarca Cucina e Vino, Baked, and M1-5 Lounge, while also conveniently located to 1, N/R/Q/W, A/C/E, 6, and J/Z subway stations, this apartment could not be more optimally located for a full New York City lifestyle and quick transportation.

Tribeca | Manhattan

Quick Profile

TriBeCa, named after the small geographic triangle below Canal Street. It’s not really a triangle, it's a quadrilateral and it's bounded by West Street, Broadway, and Chambers Street. It’s a little too late for a name change and besides, QuaBeCa doesn't sound half as cool as Tribeca.

One of New York City’s more notable acronymed neighborhoods, TriBeCa is known for its trendy boutiques, fabolous restaurants, historical landmarks, and resident celebrity lofts. It still holds the title of one of the coolest places to live in New York City.

TriBeCa is one of the first residential neighborhoods of New York City. Way back in 1700’s wealthy New Yorkers built homes and maintained gardens in what is now TriBeca.

Later in history it shifted from residential to warehouses, commerce and markets. After the Civil War, shipping hubs moved from the East River to the Hudson River and revitalized areas like the South Street Seaport and TriBeca. When shipping and commerce increased, the area soon became a favorite spot for wholesalers to store their goods in large industrial warehouses.

Just like its neighbor SoHo, TriBeCa boasts one of the world’s largest collections of wrought-iron facades and Neo-Grecian architecture.
