Property Description for 524 East 13th Street, E-4

Beautiful and charming, *furnished co-op unit* in a historic tenement building, built before the turn of the century. *6-8 months lease, great opportunity!*Welcome to your new home, 524 East 13th Street, located in one of the most sought-after, hip and historic neighborhoods of NYC, the East Village. Trader Joe's, Whole Foods, Target are all just two blocks away, along with all the fun of world-class restaurants, bars, and historic streets. This location is also a commuter's dream, right off the 1Ave L and a few blocks from the F train and the crosstown bus. The apartment features immaculate hardwood flooring throughout, along with great exposures for light in both rooms. All furniture can stay upon renter's wishes, making it the perfect turnkey short-term rental. Unit E4 is generous in size and is well arranged, with the living and sleeping areas being completely separate. It features enough space for home office, entertainment, and leisure needs. The kitchen is rather a kitchenette, so it might not satisfy a gourmet chef, but the electric two-burner stovetop and convection oven should take care of all regular cooking needs, along with the full-size fridge. This is a 5th floor, quick walk-up, meaning it comes with all the advantages of a top-floor apartment. Communal garden for co-op residents is available for use, along with a community garden for local residents just steps away. This is a tightly knit, well-managed co-op and while standard application rules apply, it will be a quicker turnaround than usual co-op processing times.

East Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The East Village has two distinct moods. By day, it is quiet and peaceful. Everyone is out and about, either working or relaxing at Tompkins Square Park, strolling or jogging along the East River, or hanging out in one of the subsets of cultural activity, such as St. Mark’s Place.

But then night falls, and the East Village comes to life, keeping the entertainment and nightlife going long after the other neighborhoods have called it quits for the night. People from all five boroughs flock to the dive bars and speakeasies, head for their favorite cafes and restaurants, or drop in to a music venue to listen to hot tunes or cool jazz and dance the night away. Don’t worry, you don’t have to “know somebody” to gain admittance to even the most popular venues. You won’t find velvet ropes, bouncers, or and a waiting list at the door of most places. Just walk right in and enjoy yourself.

Be prepared for the increased population during fall through spring, when NYU is in session. College students will be everywhere, contributing to the youthful essense of the neighborhood.
