Property Description for 120 Greenwich Street, 7-C

Available April 1st, 2020. If high ceilings, an open kitchen, and good light/view are on the checklist for your 1BR rental search, then schedule your appointment to see 7C at 120 Greenwich St right now! The layout here is ideal. You enter into a small foyer, with room for a table, then left to the main living space which is on the corner, with tall windows surrounding it. All the windows are fitted with elegant, neutral-colored blinds. The windowed-kitchen integrates seamlessly into the room. Place a few stools at the counter for breakfast, or to chat with family or guests while you prepare meals. Your newer range faces out into the room and is topped by an illuminated stainless hood with a filtration element. The cabinetry is a light wood, and the backspace and counter are dark stone. A stainless Liebherr refrigerator/freezer with ice maker and Bosch stainless dishwasher get your chores done in style. The layout affords many options for furniture placement, and unlike many other Downtown 1BRs, it will accommodate a large table. The morning sun fills the east-facing bedroom through the double windows, where you will find double closets, and enough space to easily accommodate a king-sized bed and a dresser. The bathroom is sleek and spare, its tiles in satiny white glass and sandstone, a white porcelain sink, dark stone flooring, and a deep tub with a frameless glass shower. The floating vanity, and illuminated mirror/medicine chest and Lutron lighting with a dimmer switch create a clean, modern ambiance. Residents at 120 Greenwich Street enjoy a full-time Doorman, 24/7, Fresh Direct cold storage, live-in super, well-equipped gym, large laundry room, and a landscaped, furnished roof deck. The building is Pet-Friendly, and the western-FiDi location is ideal for access to the Hudson River Parks, transportation (PATH, every subway except the F/G) and shopping: literally across the street from Westfield WTC mall, The Fulton Transportation Center, Eataly, and an 8-minute walk to the Tribeca Whole Foods. Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
