Property Description for 90 Gold Street, 19-M

Perfection in the Seaport. This triple-mint, high-floor home with private terrace is an artful blend of fine craftsmanship and meticulous detail. The generous south-facing living space includes a large dining area and separate living room with wide-plank European Oak floors, custom picture lighting, and skim-coated ceilings. Just off the living room is a decked terrace facing southeast with views of the east river and the financial district for relaxing in the evenings or enjoying weekend breakfast. The kitchen is a dream, with a beautiful mix of stainless steel appliances, marble accents, custom cabinetry and reclaimed wood shelving set against the look of rugged concrete countertops made of Ceasarstone for durability and practicality. The kitchen includes a full-sized dishwasher, microwave oven, under-cabinet lighting, and plenty of storage. The bathroom draws its inspiration from Roman & Williams, with classic subway tiles, dual medicine cabinets, generous custom built-in cabinetry, and conveniences that include dimmable lights and well-placed niches for additional storage. The king-sized bedroom faces south and includes two spacious built-out closets and through the wall HVAC handsomely housed in custom cabinetry with a large marble sill. Throughout the apartment, thoughtful details abound, including solid-core wood doors, fine millwork and quality hardware. This turn-key coop apartment is located within Southbridge Towers, a beautifully landscaped complex of 9 buildings situated between Two Bridges, the Financial District and the Seaport, with excellent access to public transportation, including the A/C/2/3/4/5/J/Z trains at Fulton Street Station. The building has a lobby attended 24 hours, laundry room, and access to two playgrounds and a community recreation center. Storage units are available to rent. The building is pet friendly and allows guarantors, gifting, and co-purchasing. The very low maintenance includes heat, hot water, gas and electricity.

Seaport District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Seaport District sits between the Financial District to the south and the Brooklyn Bridge to the north. The original Seaport designation was limited to the streets east of Water Street from Fletcher Street to Dover Street and incorporated the actual Seaport and the piers. But no more. Today, the neighborhood boundaries have expanded westward toward Park Row and include a surge of new developments in the area around Pace University and City Hall Park.

This is not your father’s Seaport. It is no longer a commercial hub and the seafood industry, which operated out of the port for nearly two hundred years, has been displaced. The older low-rise buildings that line these cobblestoned streets have been repositioned, the SouthBridge towers complex to the east of Water Street has gone free market, multiple commercial buildings have been converted to residential usage and new gleaming residential towers are rising on the site of the iconic J&R Music World which once lined the east side of Park Row.

Still, the Seaport is a small neighborhood, particularly quaint just north of Beekman Street. The streets are dominated by century-old warehouses and maritime buildings which gives the neighborhood its overt character. The Brooklyn Bridge, on its northern edge, looms in the backdrop.
