Property Description for 30 East 10th Street, PH

As featured in The Wall Street Journal, the Penthouse at 30 East 10th Street is a unique offering for those seeking an authentic, full-floor loft with unobstructed panoramic views in coveted Greenwich Village. Boasting approximately 3,700 square feet of interior space, one is immediately captured by the 11-foot ceilings, 19 oversized windows, and two generous skylights which provide an abundance of natural light. Much of the iconic architectural history has been carefully restored during the recent renovation of this magnificent space, including the millwork around all the windows, with 10” wide plank floors throughout, and a completely renovated second bathroom. A private keyed elevator opens directly into this remarkably refurbished loft. Currently configured as a two-bedroom, two-bathroom home, this loft has ample space for a third or fourth bedroom, media room or separate study. The open, modern kitchen is accompanied by an expansive marble island imported from Italy and top tier stainless steel appliances; a Sub-zero refrigerator, wine refrigerator, Smeg gas stovetop with vented hood and Miele dishwasher. The sun-soaked master bedroom encompasses four oversized windows with south and east exposures and sweeping views of downtown. The en suite windowed master bathroom is outfitted with imported Travertine marble and includes two separate sinks with a massive walk-in shower. Anchoring the master bathroom is a spacious dressing room. Additional features are motorized blackout and solar shades, central AC, and a refined surround sound system. Building amenities include a rooftop deck, just one flight up from the Penthouse, as well as complimentary storage space and a bike room. 30 East 10th Street is a boutique cooperative building situated on one of the most desirable blocks in Greenwich Village, moments away from Washington Square Park, Union Square Park, and multiple subway lines.

Greenwich Village | Manhattan

Quick Profile

Birthplace of beatniks, Greenwich Village has always been a neighborhood bursting with creativity, home to artists, poets, musicians and writers. There is a lot of foot traffic in the neighborhood, as it gives convenient access to many other neighborhoods. There are a lot of popular eateries on MacDougal Street and bars on Bleecker Street. The neighborhood has a bit of a college-town feel, due to the presence of NYU. There aren’t large chain stores here, so it isn’t really a mecca for shopaholics, but you can find interesting vintage stores and specialty boutiques.

Available housing is centered on pre-war walk-ups. You can find good deals on the quieter, tree-lined side streets, as opposed to the bustling avenues. There are pockets of brownstones and townhouses, some dating back to the early 19th century, throughout the neighborhood, as well. You will find more luxurious housing in the newer high-rise buildings on Park and Fifth Avenues.

Washington Square Park is the heart of the neighborhood. If you sit near the Arch and close your eyes, you might catch an echo of the music and social history of the Park, floating through the air. Greats like Joan Baez, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon started their storied careers right here in Greenwich Village. Today, the Village is a celebration of diversity, where everyone is welcome.
