Property Description for 100 Eleventh Ave, 6-D

Welcome home to 100 Eleventh Avenue, Eleventh Avenue, Jean Nouvel's West Chelsea Tour de Force, and a True Artistic Masterpiece. 100 Eleventh Avenue, materially and conceptually a descendant of one of Nouvel's masterpieces in Paris, is a 23 Story Tower at the intersection of 19th Street and the West Side Highway. The Building's construction was begun in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of its "parent building's" opening and has been described by Nouvel as a "vision machine," featuring 1,700 different sized panes of glass, each set at a unique angle and torque.

This two bedroom, two and a half bath gracious home offers opulent loft-like living. The apartment's Entry Gallery, offering an exceptional canvas for your own art collection, leads into the spacious Living area, which boasts views of the Hudson River and Chelsea Piers to the East/Southeast, the High Line to the West/Southwest, and Open Views of the City to the North.

Within the space, a State-of-the-Art Kitchen, generously proportioned and open to the main living space, incorporates modern fixtures, stainless steel appliances, etched and clear glass, and terrazzo, which was handpicked by Jean Nouvel to satisfy the serious cook whilst maintaining the design concept of the building and the space within the unit.

The two spacious Bedrooms, facing the Northern and Eastern portions of the building, offer privacy and feature windows intentionally sized and positioned to offer Distinct, Unique City Outlooks. The bathrooms feature Corian surfaces, minimalist Kohler tubs and water closets, fixtures with computerized flow as well as water temperature sensors, and well-conceived and incorporated storage space.

Residents enjoy a 24 hour doorman, live-in superintendent, and onsite concierge, A 70 foot all-season indoor/outdoor swimming pool, a well-equipped fitness center, a Cedar sauna, and steam room designed with penny round tiles complete the Living Experience. Set right on the Hudson River, 100 Eleventh Avenue, is conveniently located in the renowned gallery district of West Chelsea. The 23-story tower is situated in close proximity to the Highline, Chelsea Cove, lively Meatpacking District, and the historic shops of Chelsea Market.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
