Property Description for 44 Madison Street

44 Madison Street is a spectacular 20 ft. wide two family brick townhouse that has been meticulously designed with the live/work lifestyle in mind. This spacious property, which is just under 4,000 sq. ft. ,offers a four bedroom three and a half bathroom triplex smart home over a two-bedroom two bathroom duplex rental with three outdoor spaces. Step into the first floor ownerÂ’s triplex into an expansive culinary kitchen with generous German kitchen cabinetry, Gaggenau appliances, marble countertops, and a lengthy center island with a built- in countertop gas stove. The open concept floor plan synthesizes the kitchen, dining, and living areas, which flow into a grand outdoor balcony and lower level backyard entertainment space. Highlights of the first level include a bijou powder room, soaring gallery ceilings, wide plank natural white oak flooring, and a smart home system that controls lighting, temperature, security, and music throughout the entire home. Head upstairs to the second floor into the master bedroom, and find a generously proportioned master suite. This enormous boudoir is a true masterpiece featuring over 300 sq. ft. of living space including an enormous walk-in closet, a custom designed marble & tile en suite bathroom with a free standing tub, a double shower, and a floating double vanity with Kohler fixtures. Bring your California king, two dressers, chaise recliner, and your Peloton treadmill to make this majestic space your own. And for those long days working and home schooling the kids, the 2nd level has two additional rooms at the opposite end of the master bedroom suite that can be morphed into workspaces or reconfigured into one large bedroom or office. The 2nd floor also offers a designated laundry room, and an additional full bathroom with a soaking tub. Even more impressive is the top floor of the triplex, which after a long day of home-schooling/work, you can enjoy another master suite that has two large outdoor decks, even more storage, and another large bathroom with a skylight and large shower. Located in the 4th best neighborhood in the world, Bedford Stuyvesant, and close to the C, S, & G trains, you'll be in close proximity to popular spots like Speedy Romeo's, HartÂ’s, and Stonefruit Espresso & Kitchen. Come and be apart of a soulful and vibrant community in the heart of Brooklyn, NY. Welcome to your new home!

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
