Property Description for 175 Prospect Park Southwest, 4-A

*ALL OPEN HOUSES ARE HELD BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!

This charming, mint condition two bedroom co-op is perched on the top floor of The Alconquin, a coveted building located along Prospect Park Southwest in the heart of Windsor Terrace. With multiple exposures and Prospect Park views, this serene pre-war home boasts an entry foyer, soaring ceilings and expansive windows, and is sun-drenched from sunrise to sunset.

The windowed kitchen with Park views has been meticulously and tastefully updated with plentiful cabinets that provide an incredible amount of storage, a classic white subway tile backsplash and stainless steel appliances, including a microwave and dishwasher. The pass-through to the living room and dining area is a convenient feature that gives this apartment an open and airy feel.

The living room with dining area overlooks the Park from two exposures and is a true oasis.

The master bedroom is massive in size and can easily accommodate a king-size bed with room for a sitting area or desk, and the large double-closet has been recently outfitted to maximize storage space.

The second bedroom is also spacious in size and equally sun-filled. It can easily accommodate twin beds or a queen and boasts an expansive closet as well.

The windowed bathroom was recently renovated and features white subway tile, a large vanity with fantastic storage and a beautiful, hexagonal tile floor.

A large, private storage cage in the basement is included with the apartment.

Not only is Prospect Park right outside your door, but shareholders enjoy access to a tranquil, landscaped courtyard and community garden located just off the Art Deco lobby.

This pet-friendly, professionally-managed building has strong financials and is well-maintained by a full-time super. Stroller parking is available in the lobby. Laundry and free bike storage are available in the basement.

Just three short blocks to the Fort Hamilton F/G stop, this home is close to the best that Windsor Terrace has to offer: Vanderbilt Playground, Prospect Park Tennis Center, Elk Café, Le Paddock and much more!

Windsor Terrace | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

The tiny, comma-shaped neighborhood of Windsor Terrace is bookended between two of Brooklyn’s largest green spaces, Prospect Park and the massive Green-Wood cemetery. Aside from the presence of the Prospect Park Expressway, which dissects the neighborhood in two, this residential community offers a suburban sensibility with its tree-lined streets, low volume traffic and the low height character of its streetscape.

Many homes in the area are low to the ground, lending a suburban feel to the neighborhood, and the area has been down-zoned to maintain its low-rise appeal and character. There are plentiful brick row houses that have very low turnover. If you are lucky enough to buy or rent one, you tend to hold on to it. There are also small apartment buildings, private homes, condos and multi-family homes in a wide price range

There is commercial development along Prospect Park West, Fort Hamilton Parkway and Prospect Avenue, but even these new stores and restaurants are mostly family-owned and operated, maintaining the small-town charm. The pace of life is slower. The schools are good, which is a big draw for families with young children. The people are friendly, which gives a real sense of neighborhood and community to Windsor Terrace.
