Property Description for 355 Saint Marks Ave, 2

Residence 2 at 355 Saint Marks Avenue welcomes you to an expansive and meticulous floor-through 3 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with a terrace, stunning private backyard retreat and unbeatably low carrying costs.

Take one flight of stairs or use the elevator to the second floor to your private landing and vestibule area. From here, the main entrance door opens to a huge foyer which intentionally divides the home between public living areas on one side and private sleeping quarters tucked quietly away on the other side. To your immediate right upon entering, you'll find an inviting powder room, a full laundry room equipped with a large capacity washer & dryer set and utility sink, before continuing down the long hallway to find 3 bright, sunny bedrooms with generous closets and a full bath with luxurious soaking tub. The south-facing master suite features incredible closet space and a custom designed en suite bathroom complete with a glass enclosed spa & steam shower with double rain shower heads, classic Carrara marble vanity, beautiful ceramic tiles and well-adorned lights and fixtures. All bathrooms have TOTO features, while the entire home is equipped with a multi-zone ductless HVAC system and tankless water heater ensuring convenience and comfort.

On the northern side of the home, the sleek timeless chef's kitchen is replete with high end stainless steel appliances including a 36" Wolf six-burner range oven and oversized hood, a Sub-Zero Classic French Door Refrigerator/Freezer, marble countertops, custom cabinetry locally sourced in Brooklyn and offers an envious amount of storage including a walk-in hall pantry closet. The open living/dining room is spacious enough for an 8 to 12 person formal dining table and large seating area. A true great room, the entire space is bathed in sunlight from the French doors and large windows that open to your own private terrace. Throughout the home, beautiful Vermont natural ash wide plank flooring makes a shining statement while endless windows do their magic showcasing the joys of the changing seasons outside.

This home features two outdoor options. You can choose to relax on your private terrace featuring bluestone floors and ipe wood trim or head down the steps and be transported to an extraordinary world that is your very own picturesque backyard sanctuary. The lush mature garden has been lovingly tended with seasonal perennials and colorful blooms and is ready for your enjoyment. This rare, well outfitted and artfully landscaped and hardscaped space offers a true urban oasis in the heart of the city.

If the copious closets and walk-in pantry space were not enough, you'll have access to your personal and secured on-premise storage unit located in the basement.

355 Saints Mark Avenue is on the edge of Prospect Heights and Crown Heights, surrounded by an abundance of coffee shops, retail, and restaurants. The home is in close proximity to the B & Q trains at 7th Avenue, 2 & 3 trains at Grand Army Plaza and A & C trains at Clinton-Washington, and provides easy access to Prospect Park, Barclays Center and more. Welcome to your new home!

Crown Heights | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Originally known as Crown Hill by the Lenape Indians that lived there, Crown Heights has evolved into a diverse neighborhood, occupied primarily by Hasidic Jews and one of the largest Caribbean populations to be found anywhere outside of the West Indies.

Head over to Nostrand Avenue, one of the main West Indian commercial areas in the neighborhood, which is lined with stores that have been in those exact same places for generations, providing their goods and services to area residents. Kingston Avenue has similar commercial activities that support the Jewish community, and Franklin Avenue shows the most signs of change and gentrification, with an ever-expanding mix of yoga studios, coffee shops, and organic grocery stores that serve the influx of young professionals. No matter which of these areas you visit, you will find an interesting mix of businesses that you wouldn’t normally picture as existing side-by-side. It is all part of the cultural diversity of Crown Heights.

The neighborhood is bisected, from east to west, by Eastern Parkway, which is a beautiful, 3-mile-long boulevard lined with mature trees. This leafy oasis was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, famed designer of Central Park, the Biltmore Estate in North Carolina, and the U. S. Capitol in Washington, D. C.

You will find a mix of low-rise apartment buildings, large middle-class elevator buildings, brownstones, and some luxury buildings. Century-old architecture stands next to modern residential developments in a visually interesting mix of styles, much as the diversity of the residents exists. People who would not normally meet and mix are forging new pathways to cultural understanding by working, living, and playing together in the same neighborhood.
