Property Description for 132 East 30th Street, 3

This elegant and modern three-bedroom, three-bath residence occupies a full floor of a sleek luxury building with a private keyed elevator entrance. Gleaming wide plank hardwood floors are brought to life by an abundance of natural light streaming in from oversized windows that extend across both sides of the open living and dining area. Large scale sliding glass doors lead you out onto a spacious, zen-like terrace overlooking a south-facing garden courtyard with mature trees that feels a world apart from the bustling city. No detail was overlooked in this chic, windowed chef’s kitchen, as evidenced by the custom cabinets, granite countertops, and stainless steel appliances, which include a Sub Zero fridge, a Wolf range with a vented hood, and a Bosch dishwasher. The quiet spacious master suite, that easily accommodates a king-size bed, includes huge windows with motorized blackout shades, a walk-in closet, an ensuite bathroom with a soaking tub, a walk-in shower, and radiant heated floors. The remaining bedrooms, meanwhile, have oversized windows and plenty of closet space, as well as an en-suite bath in the second bedroom. Other premium touches include central heating and air conditioning with individual programmable thermostats, a Miele washer/dryer, as well as a large and pristine dedicated storage space in the basement. In addition to a virtual doorman service, the immaculately maintained boutique condominium building also offers residents access to a gym on-premises, as well as a spectacular landscaped roof deck with amazing views of the Empire State Building. With a prime location, just steps to Flatiron, a short walk from Madison Square Park, and convenient to multiple subway lines, restaurants, and shopping.

Kips Bay | Manhattan

Quick Profile

If you take a walk through Kips Bay, which is loosely defined as the area between 23rd street and 34th street and the East River to almost Lexington, you’ll quickly learn it's a hodgepodge of sorts and not as well defined as other neighborhoods in New York City. Some New Yorkers say Kips Bay has an identity crisis because 1st, 2nd, and 3rd avenues are distinctly different from one another as you traverse them. Despite the perceived lack of neighborhood vibe there are others that appreciate its affordability and convenience.

First Avenue is dominated by hospitals and hospital buildings such as NYU Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital to name a few. Second Avenue is a mosaic of convenience stores, fast food joints and nondescript brick buildings. Third Avenue is saturated with small bars and gastropubs and the twenty somethings that patronize them.

No judgement against Kips Bay here. It’s a great neighborhood that is just as much a part of New York City as any other neighborhood. Kips Bay It’s bordered by Murray Hill to the North, Stuyvesant Town and Gramercy Park to the South, and Rose Hill to the West. The neighborhood is partly defined by newer high-rise apartments, brick rowhouses, and former tenement buildings.
