Property Description for 420 West 25th Street, 6-E

Sold - By The Swillinger Team LOFT 25, a sought-after prewar condo, is now offering an oversized 1 bedroom with a SEPARATE HOME OFFICE/DEN (see Alternate floor plan for 2bd option), which is perfect for working from home, while intimate enough for a quiet evening of soft Jazz and a nice home cooked meal. The impeccable layout was designed by TSA studios of Tribeca and the interior by Sydney Frazier Interior Design. Offering an open floor plan with 12' ceilings throughout, oversized windows, and a chef's kitchen custom designed by Schiffini Cucine with top-of-the-line appliances: Liebherr, Bosch, and Italian Teknobili fixtures. The luxurious accommodations offered in the primary windowed bathroom feature a walk-in rain shower, Restoration Hardware double vanity & imported Porcelanosa ceramic tiles. This is en-suite to the corner bedroom with two open exposures. Storage is aplenty, including a large walk-in-closet off the bedroom and a private storage room for overflow. In addition, there is floor-to-ceiling custom bookcases that support the home office/den and living room. There are unobstructed Southern and Eastern views (compared to lower floors that do not clear the neighboring buildings), which gives each area an abundance of sunlight with the comfort of customer shades and individual climate controlled rooms. LOFT 25 is a full service building located on a quite tree-lined street in Chelsea's Gallery. There is a 24-hour attended lobby with adjacent double-height lounge, rear garden courtyard with a reflecting pool, conference workroom, boutique health club, and a gorgeous landscaped roof deck with BBQ and wonderful city and river views. W/D in the apartment. Just one block from The Highline, E/C trains, and the West Chelsea Gallery district. Buyer should consult CPA regarding any tax abatement and STAR Program.

Chelsea | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The row houses portray the world-class architecture of Greek Revival, Italianate and Georgian styles. The population is both ethnically and socially diverse, which is reflected in the restaurants and retail businesses in the neighborhood.

Western Chelsea is the center of the NYC art world, where you will find more than 200 art galleries housed in rehabbed factories and warehouses, as well as in newly-constructed buildings.

While people of many different cultures call Chelsea home, it has been a mecca over the years for people in the LGBTQ community. One census reported that as many as 22% of its residents were gay couples. Eighth Avenue is a trendy area for LGBTQ-oriented dining and shopping. Although it no longer draws the LGBTQ population that it once did, Chelsea still has many popular alternative bars.

Chelsea is primarily residential, consisting of a mixture of diverse complexes, low-rise apartment blocks, tenements, townhouses, renovated row houses, and luxury high-rises.

Chelsea is an interesting and sought-after place to live, with unique clothing boutiques, restaurants, and delis representing cultures from around the world. In addition to its quirky establishments, Chelsea has fine dining restaurants and a vibrant, hip nightlife, which adds to its allure.

Chelsea is well-served by public transportation. At least six city bus routes traverse Chelsea. There are three NYC subway routes with stops on Seventh Avenue, three on Eighth Avenue, and two more on Sixth Avenue. The 34th Street - Hudson Yards Station opened in 2015 with its main entrance in Chelsea.
