Property Description for 100 Lexington Ave, 2-F

A unique home with lofty proportions on the Clinton Hill/Bed-Stuy border. Just one flight up in a cool condo conversion this type of space is hard to find in a sea of cookie cutter 1000 square foot condos. The moment you walk in the door your eyes are drawn to extra large living and dining space with gorgeous exposed beams and 4 windows across the open space. It’s so rare to have this width for your living and dining space. The layout is superb with split bedrooms and off the living room, a huge den, offering great flexibility tucked away from the main living space. The generous kitchen is centered on a very large island and is well equipped with a suite of stainless steel appliances and ample storage. 100 Lexington is in the heart of all things Clinton Hill, with happening Franklin Ave just down the block, and local favorites like Mekelburg’s, Speedy Romeo’s, and The Finch all just moments away. This 9 unit, 3 story building has very low monthly charges and also has a great private roof deck for grillin and chillin. Showing now by appointment.

Bedford Stuyvesant | Brooklyn

Quick Profile

Known for its historic brownstones and tight-knit enclave, Bed-Stuy has increasingly left behind its early reputation for being a “bedroom community” and transcended into a highly desirable neighborhood.

Distinct for its aesthetic, it is populated with ornate buildings characterized by cornices, friezes, finials, fluting and other marks of classic architecture. Built up during the period from 1870 to 1900, its historic district runs to the north of Jefferson Avenue, to the east of Malcolm X Boulevard and to the west of Tompkins Avenue.

At one point known as “Brooklyn’s Little Harlem,” the shape of the area has shifted toward attracting a wider demographic of people thanks to the influx of bars, restaurants, antique furniture stores and vintage boutiques. More police enforcement paired with the decline of the crack epidemic at the beginning of the 2000s also opened the door for increased development, as well as the occupation of formerly abandoned buildings and spaces.
