Property Description for 100 Barclay Street, 14-R

Welcome home to residence 14R at 100 Barclay Street. This sprawling, corner three bedroom, three bathroom home features open river views and a number of incredible customizations that make this the ultimate Tribeca spread for the most discerning buyer.

14R features beautiful 7 foot tall oversized casement windows that perfectly frame the sparkling river views. This immaculate residence has 10 foot ceilings and features 4 inch wide custom-stained white oak floors throughout that create prewar proportions with a modern sensibility. The walnut-paneled entry door opens onto a grand hallway leading to a great room with North and West corner windows capturing the Hudson River and the iconic New York City skyline.

The open chef-ready kitchen features calacatta gold marble countertops, a herringbone tiled marble backsplash and an island with seating for four. It's outfitted with custom cabinetry and hardware, Sub-Zero refrigerator/freezer, separate wine refrigerator, Miele dishwasher and speed oven and a Dornbracht pot-filler. The gas range is by Wolf and is fully vented via a recessed hood that's been cleverly hidden by custom paneling and cabinetry. As if this weren't enough, the current owners added a wall of self-lit bespoke cabinetry to the kitchen area to create even more storage.

The master suite has been fully customized to offer the ultimate sense of privacy. Gracious in layout and size, the master bedroom serves as the perfect retreat for the busy New Yorker. It features a massive luxurious custom walk-in-closet that was added by the current owners. Just off of the walk-in-closet is the tranquil five-piece master bathroom that features radiant heated floors, a large walk-in-shower and deep soaking tub with fixtures by Waterworks.

In addition to the custom walk-in-closet, the owners added a gorgeous home office off of the master bedroom that features custom molding and self-lit shelves all tucked away behind a gorgeous casements-style glass door that perfectly matches the windows throughout the rest of the apartment.

The current owners thoughtfully reconfigured the floorplan to create a smart separation of space. They effectively created a separate wing of the home where the second and third bedrooms share an entry hall and are tucked away from the master suite and the main living area.

Other apartment features include multi-zone heating and cooling and a large front-loading washer and dryer.

14R at 100 Barclay Street is truly a designer's dream. It has been meticulously crafted with upgrades that make this the perfect Tribeca home.

The amenities at 100 Barclay include 24-hour doorman, valet parking and concierge service, and 40,000 square feet of amenity space, including an 82-foot heated lap pool and spa, fitness center, yoga and Pilates studio, billiards room, wine tasting room, club lounge with bar and dining room, playroom, teen lounge, media lounge, conference room with Wi-Fi throughout club level, recreation space, bike storage and four common outdoor spaces with glorious sunrise and sunset terraces.

100 Barclay offers access to the city's best dining, shopping and waterfront open space. Brookfield Place and Westfield World Trade at the Oculus surround you in the finest luxury shopping and restaurants, while Hudson River Park provides miles of parkland and recreation. Access to transportation is unbeatable with A/C/E, 1/2/3, R/W and PATH trains, plus the World Financial Center Ferry Landing all nearby.

Financial District | Manhattan

Quick Profile

The Financial District (FiDi) today is a bit of a hybrid neighborhood, as the residential component continues to grow in an area that has been historically dominated by the financial and insurance industries. The residential experiment, which began more than two decades ago, continues to evolve in an area with a large concentration of older, large office buildings. Developers have taken to these aged buildings and have re-positioned them as residential properties. In turn, the public spaces, services and retail establishments needed for a thriving residential neighborhood have followed making this an important destination for city residents.

Since 2000, the residential population of the Financial District has nearly tripled in size from about 23,000 residents to more than 60,000 inhabitants. Many of the residential pioneers to FiDi were people attracted to the lower rents in the neighborhood, particularly the post-collegiate crowd. While the millennials still maintain a large footprint here, there are plenty of families that now consider the Wall Street area home.

Many of those that live in the Financial District walk to work. If you reside here and need to commute elsewhere, the transportation from here is about as good as it gets. Express trains can take you to Midtown, either east or west, in twenty minutes. Brooklyn is but a single subway stop away. There are also ferries across to Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
