Property Description for 76 Madison Ave, 12-B

This immaculate loft was meticulously renovated and designed by the renowned NYC and NOLA firm, Brockschmidt & Coleman. The interiors include thoughtfully planned niches to provide both flexible flow and architectural focus; complementing the soaring beamed ceilings, bleached oak floors, steel column and other quintessential NoMad details. The entire home is managed by a state of the art Crestron system that controls the AV, HVAC, lighting, shades, and three cleverly hidden TVs.

The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms are located on either end of the expansive living room, providing optimal privacy. The powder room features a honey onyx vanity and access to the stacked Miele washer/dryer. Sliding and pocket doors maintain the open loft feel, while allowing for a variety of room configurations. Handcrafted wallpapers define the entrance vestibule, state-of-the-art kitchen, and multi-purpose dining area; that easily converts to an additional entertainment lounge or home office.

The chef’s kitchen has a Sub-Zero fridge with 2 freezer drawers, Miele double stacked ovens, Miele dishwasher, microwave, 5 burner range, 23 bottle wine fridge, garbage disposal, and ample storage. All rooms have open north views with abundant light filling the apartment throughout the day. This luxurious apartment is completed with custom closets designed by Jeffrey Phillip and a large private storage unit. The common hallway is shared with only one other apartment.

76 Madison was built in 1911 and is located in the heart of the chic NoMad district. The amenities include 24-hr door staff, full-time super, porter and one of NYC's most beautiful rooftop terraces with unparalleled views, a wet bar, and an open marble fireplace. NoMad | Manhattan

Quick Profile

NoMad, North of Madison Square Park, is a rectangular swath of land that is bordered by East 25th Street to the south, East 29th Street to the north, Sixth Avenue to the west, and depending who you ask, Madison or Lexington Avenue to the East. It’s had its acronymed name for over two decades but not every New Yorker calls the neighborhood NoMad.

Historic architecture, trendy hotels and restaurants and high-priced apartments - NoMad wasn’t always the coveted neighborhood that it is today. It’s gone through many transformations over the years. Including a red light district known as the Tenderloin in the 1880’s. It was a popular shopping destination and a place where high society held court in the mid 19th century. It was part of New York City’s Silicon Alley in the 1990’s.

As of lately, world class chefs and restaurants have moved into NoMad. It’s tied with Midtown Manhattan for having the most Michelin stars (six stars to date). Besides NoMad’s architecture, nightlife, and restaurants, we can’t forget the added perk of being close to other great neighborhoods and cultural institutions. NoMad’s central location makes it easier to get just about anywhere in the city. You can walk to Chelsea, West Village, Union Square or Grand Central Station in no time at all. The N, R, 1, 6, B, Q, F, and M are very close or just a few blocks away. Penn Station is also within walking distance.
